Celebritys and Racism

Updated on July 31, 2013

Paula Deen- The celebrity the writes and the queen of Southern cooking has admitted to using the N-word.Why would she omit to something that has never left the minds of thousands of people who lived through those impressionable years.

Thousand of Americans are asking themselves is Paula a racist? Whether she is or not her action spoke louder than words. When you play with the feeling of others; you get burn.

I have watched her shows and believe in some ways she is racist but only Paula knows. I think the media is making to much of what she said 25 years ago. I really don't think she wanted to hurt anyone, it was something that just came out.

I am a Black woman who grew up in the South where we was faced with racism everyday of our lives. I taught by my mother not to hate anyone because of who they were or the color of their skin.

Paula Deen, is not the only celebrity that has omitted to using the n-word. So if the media is crucifying , Paula Deen than go after the others who have also said the N-word.

Racism is here to stay, there has been a lot changes but it still exist. Color should be just a word. Black or white the fluid that runs through out our bodies are the same color. "Red". Jada67
