Meet The Characters
Chowder is cut little guy who dreams of becoming a chef some day, but have a very short attention span. He is an apprentice in the city of Marzipan and boy does he love to eat. Even the littlest recipes he tries to learn become crazy crazy funny adventures. He will steal your heart that is for sure with all his quirky ways.
Mung Daal is a great chef and tries to teach Chowder everything he knows - even about love. He owns a catering business where he invents food and uses a cooking style that is sometimes totally different than traditional methods. He also thinks he is a ladies man and is married to Truffles. He is a bit out there which makes his so loveable.
Truffles (a fairy)is Mung Daal's wife and really is the boss. She makes sure everything goes just right. She is very funny and makes me laugh so much. Watch out for her - she will definitely keep you in line!!!
Shnitzel is one of my favorite characters - he does not talk, but instead says "Radda Radda". He is a big rock monster that works in the kitchen and does not have a big sense of humor and of course Chowder is always driving him nuts. He is a great character in this show.
Kimchi is Chowders best friend and pet. He lives in a bird cage next to his bed, Kimchi is a floating cloud who talks by blowing raspberries. He is a stink cloud that farts, but Chowder does not mind - he loves him.
Panini is an apprentice too, but under Ms. Endive and is in love with Chowder. She ic convinced Chowder is her boyfriend and makes sure every chance she gets to let him know. Chowder is always trying to tell her "I am not your boyfriend"
Ms. Endive is a big scary woman who teaches cooking by the book, unlike Mung Daal who is a bit more free with his style. Her apprentice is Panini.
Gazpacho is a the store keeper and aspiring stand-up comic who Chowder sees often. Gazpacho he still lives at home with his mommy, and her influence on him can be readily apprehended through his many references to her in casual conversation. Chowder is probably the only friend that Gazpacho has, aside from "mom" that is.
