Was It A Dream

As I reached over to shut off the alarm clock , I felt something warm laying next to me I turned to look ( eyes cloudy) and felt his breath, I caressed his stomach, feeling every solid muscle. He gently opened his eyes and smiled at me, " good morning sunshine", he mumbled. I was stricken with excitement his chiseled face so perfect and his beautiful brown eyes gazing at me. "Are you o.k.." he asked. "Yes I am fine," I replied, " The alarm clock woke me," I said softly , " go back to sleep." As he turned over and fell back to sleep, I slipped out of the bed and slid into my white furry slippers and the fleece bathrobe that he purchased for me at Christmas. It was made especially for me, "one of a kind not a two like them", he told me. "Oh how beautiful", I said to myself how many men find their wives so beautiful in a robe and slippers? As I walked across the floor I noticed something glistening on the wooden floor. I reached down and picked it up, my diamond earring. "How in the world did I lose that?" It must have fallen out of my ear when we were dancing in the moonlight. I loved our moonlight dances , the Waltz was my favorite step , we would glide and my hair would be tossled by the breeze that blew through the windows. He would smile at ,my Prince Charming and my heart would melt each time he held me close in his arms. I looked back and he was sound sleep, quietly I opened the french doors to the balcony that overlooked the ocean and called for service. " Good Morning May," could you bring up a pot of coffee," and a couple of crescent rolls?" "I certainly can", was her reply. "Thank you so much", I said. I adored May as she was not only a wonderful chef, she was a friend. May had lost her husband to cancer and did not have anywhere to go when I met her, I invited her to live with us and she stayed in the East Wing of the house, with her two little yorkies, Ginger and Snap. I do not have any idea where she had came up with those names but I adored them all the same. "Oh yummy, thank you," your crescent rolls are the most scrumptious rolls I have ever eaten." "Make'm fresh", May said. "What are you going to do today?" I quickly replied, "I believe I am going to go to the dayspa and relax."  "Well you do that, May replied, I am going to hang around here and do a little painting on my easel." proudly she said." I always enjoyed painting pretty pictures of landscapes and people, besides bubble baths painting was a stress reliever. My darling , I quitely whispered,"wake up", May brought us fresh coffee and crescent rolls".

It was a pleasure to visit you today. Glad to be a follower too. I think we all need a fairy tale at least once in our lives, and if we are lucky enough to get one, live it to fullest.

Well it is so nice to meet you finally Cinderella. So lovely, romance by the sea is still alive and well. Can I entice you with some krill and wine from an oyster shell and a picnic on the briny beach? LOL

Except for coffee in bed, this sounds NOTHING like my marriage, LOL. But it's lovely and romantic and there's nothing wrong with seeing life through rose coloured glasses. I hope Cindy and her hubby are able to keep dancing in the moonlight for many years -- happily ever after and all that! MM

If it's Cinderella, I'm wondering if she'll suddenly find herself whipped back into reality. No more painting bubble baths. But then, Cinderella winds up winning in the end, doesn't she. Maybe her paintings of bubble baths will become all the rage and she'll be back in the beachfront before she knows it.
