First time to Hard Rock!!

What kind of music you like when you were teen? There were many types of music I like when I was teen. And one most favorite music is ROCK. Why I love rock becuase it rocks me everytimes I listen to it.

Actually I just liked pop, jazz and dance like other youths did but since a friend of mine who was a boyband introduced pure rock to me. I fell in love with it immediately first time I heard "Eat The Rich" - Aerosmith, Get a Grip 1993. In fact, there are many hard rock and rock & roll songs famous prior to this band namely Scorpian, The Eagles, Rolling Stone, The Beatles and more.

Once I dreamt to join the best rock concert in the world in States - Woodstock "Love and Peach Rock Concert Ever". I hope my dream will comes true one day. Hope I am not too old for this wild but great festival, LOL!!

Woodstock Festival 2010!!

I cannot remember the exact year the last time Woodstock concert took place. Well, I found some interesting about it on google.com. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BspUdADXRAQ ((this is limp bizkit at woodstock 2010)). I heard that this fest will take place again in this year 2011.

Aerosmith at Woodstock

Metallica - The Greatest Heavy Metal Rock Band Ever at Woodstock 1999

Different type of Rocks

At that age, there are many rock bands popular as follow:- Heavy Metal - Metallica, Scorpions, Black Zappard, 4 non blondes, Nirvana. Hard Rock - Guns and Roses, Aerosmith, The Cranberries etc. Alternative Rock is Radio Head. Punk Rock is Red Hot Chilly Peppers. Soft Rock such as Bon Jovi, The Eagles etc. But at my hometown, Scorpion and The Eagles seem to be the most popular rock bands, its songs on air every time when I and friends went to pub, club and restaurant. Meanwhile, the heavy metal has specific audience. Even Guns and Roses was very popular at that moment but it seemed only I and friends of mind knew this band very well. G&R hot on the chart at that time were Don't Cry, Knocking on the Heaven Door and November Rain. Their songs and performance admitted uncultured and remarkable wild.

Punk Rock like Red Hot Chili Peppers is one of the best Puck Rock bands that famous around the globe. The most popular songs on Billboard chart in the past was "Under The Bridge", based on the vocal leader story when he was teen. This band is very outstanding with their performance on stage. Sometime I just wonder why the guitarist, vocalist and other members don't like to wear shirt on the MV, or even on stage. This band is really amazing they received Grammy Award in 1992.

Aerosmith

Finally I have to write something about my most favorite Rock & Roll brand, especially Tylor is my heartthrob still. I attracted by "Eat The Rich" album Get A Grip. I am not really sure whether this band influenced by The Rolling Stone - a Greatest Rock and Roll band from England. It's possibly only my perspective just because the looks or the formative of the two bands quite similar to me. But well the Aerosmith is much wild than The Rolling Stone in some way. The greatest album of Aerosmith was Get a Grip which won Grammy Award one year after this album released.

Nirvana

This indie rock band becomes legend after the vocal leader - Kurt Cobain committed suicide in 1994. The most successful album was Nevermind with the best single "Smell Like Teen Spirit" climbed up to number 10 hot on the billboard chart. In the meantime, this album was hot on the chart on the other side of the world such as England, where Nevermind album of Nirvana also incredible popular. In the same year they receive Platinum Disc Awards emphasized their success as an indie rock band.

The other cool indie or alternative rock bands are Radio Head and Oasis.

Heavy Metal - Metallica

The Metallica is the most achieved American heavy metal band which won Grammy Awards and the best album of Metallica has sold over 30 million copies worldwide in 1992 - 1993. Their best song ever were Nothing Else Matter, The UnforgivenI and The UnforgivenII, The Master of Pupets and so on.

Hard Rock

Bon Jovi is one of the rock single I admire. He's popular in last decade since he's his own solo album in 1990. His remarkable songs were "It's my life", "I'll be there for you", "Always", "Bed of roses" and many more. The most success year of Bon Jovi was in 1994 - 1996, which many songs released hit on the U.S. Billboard chart and the U.K. top hits chart. Bon Jovi has been famous until this day.

And there are the other types of rock like pop rock such as U2 and Brian Adam, and Acoustic and Ballad Rock, Mr. Big and Extreme, also famous rock bands in 1990's. Some of them can survive until today, and some are faded in the time passing by.

@Stu, I totally agreed with you that 80's is the greatest period of rock music. There have been many popular and famous rock bands at that age that I love still. Well I'm a fan of classical music as well ;-)

@Kenneth thanks for lighting my ideas. I love Hendrix, Fudge and there are many more to me to research on them.

Don't forget to read full article and look forward to your comments again after that. :-D

When I was a teen. Let's see . . .going back to The Dark Ages, I grew up and loved The McCoys with a young Rick Derringer; Cream; Dave Clark Five; Eric Burdon/Animals; Early Beatles; Early Hendrix; Vanilla Fudge; Blue Cheer and that just scratches the vinyl. There were many more.

I wasn't really big on music as a teen, but my favorite forms now are classical (especially Viennese), pop rock, and rock ballads.

I think the 80's were really a high point point for rock music. There are so many classics from that period.

Unless your hubs show more content, Kesinee, people will merely open your work and bin it without comment and Google will not add ads. I tell you this because your English is good and you write adequately. You may not agree or like me for it, but I am only saying this to help you. Also, check your spelling Bob
