Collecting Star Trek Limited Edition Collector Plates by is a Fun Hobby
Collecting Star Trek Limited Edition Collector Plates by Hamilton is a good hobby. A great way to remember Kirk, Mr. Spock, Scotty, Sulu, Uhura, Chekov, Dr. McCoy & the rest of the cast of Star Trek.
I remember the first Star Trek plates I collected were the eight 1983 STAR TREK plates by Susie Morton, by Ernst for Paramount Pictures Corporation. They were some of the earliest Star Trek plates made by Ernst for Hamilton Collection Plates. In this remarkable and beautiful set you have Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. Bones, Uhura, Chekov, Sulu, and Scotty, and the group plate "Beam Us Down Scotty".
Captain Kirk of Star Trek on his Commemorative Plate
Kirk represents the Blend of Humanity and Scientific Perspective
Captain James Kirk embodies most every positive characteristic of a good leader; wisdom, knowledge, strength, the ability to react quickly in a crisis, and perhaps most important of all - true concern for his crew and for his fellow man. And in this demanding role, William Shatner has earned well deserved praise for nearly three decades of "Star Trek". Episode after episode, Captain Kirk's actions shaped the fate of Starship Enterprise. From the beginning, Kirk's role was the starring one, and yet the actor Shatner has always been highly skilled at interacting with this excellent crew - especially Spock and Dr. McCoy, his closet confidants. Perhaps more than any other character; Kirk represents the blend of humanity and scientific perspective which has won "Star Trek" its enduring, international audience.

Although William Shatner has created many roles on stage, screen and television, he is beloved most for his portrayal of "Captain Kirk". Ms. Morton studied dozens of photographs of Kirk before beginning her work. And last, in the final flourish, famed artist Susie Morton created an ordinal masterwork depicting all seven featured performers of "Star Trek" call "Beam Us Down Scotty". One of the most frequently quoted expressions from "Star Trek" is "Beam me up, Scotty" - in which Starship Enterprise's futuristic equipment is used to transport crew members at lightning speeds. Here, the crew members ask Scotty to Beam them down and out of the sip perhaps to some new and untamed planet. Chekov Provides a Dash of Youthful Energy to Star Trek.
In contrast to the studied and predictable manner of a Spock or Captain Kirk, bold, young “Chekov” provides a dash of youthful energy and naïve ambition in the adventures of Starship Enterprise. Chekov is a Russian-born officer with a great deal of pride in his origins. He often rewrites Russian history to suit his own needs – calling nearly everything of value a “Russian invention.”\\Even though Chekov has his flaws, he has many admirable role models to learn form. The young Ensign - in addition to his overwhelming pride in being Russian - complains quite a lot and lets his eye for the ladies get him into trouble from time to time as well. But for all his youth and immaturity, Chekov’s bold nature sees him through.
