Creating Your Own Crossword Puzzles Online

Crossword puzzles can be so much fun and extremely frustrating.  They test your knowledge and brain power sometimes further than any university could.  My husband and I used to work on them together until I realized that he was going to finish it on his own anyway.  Brainiac! 

But did you know that it can be fun creating your own instead of just completing them?  You can make your very own crossword puzzles for school, family gatherings, special events, or to put on your website.  You could do them the old fashioned hard way or you could use the tooles on the internet that makes it so much easier.  Here is a list and reviews of online crossword puzzle sites.

Crossword Puzzle is a very easy program to use. It has space for twenty words and hints. You don't have to use them all. Once you enter your words and the hints, click on "Create My Crossword Puzzle". There you have you very own creation. Now you can print it and share it. Enter the title of the puzzle. There is also space for specific directions. You have the choice of entering the words and the clues or you can use the sites vocabulary tool to pick the clues for you. When that is done, you have the option of having more than one version of the puzzle. Next, you decide the difficulty level of the puzzle. Click on "Create Crossword Puzzle" to see your masterpiece. This is a great site with lots of others games that you can create for your enjoyment. This is great for homeschoolers. can give you an instant crossword puzzle. Enter the words and clues by following their examples. Enter a title, the number of columns and rows if you do not want it automatically done for you. Click on "Create Puzzle." Simple and quick. gives you several options when completing your puzzle from scratch. Enter your title, the author's name, a description or explanation of the puzzle, and the maximum amount of time in seconds to create it. Choose colors, size, language, and whether or not to have an answer key. Enter your words and your hints. Create your puzzle.
