Deidre Rowell is a burgeoning Playwright, Songwriter, and TV Producer, who envisions her plays performed at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, Georgia, and then onto a national tour one day; having Kelly Price win a Stellar Award for a song she penned; and making as big a splash on the realty TV scene as Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, with her own reality show.

Not an unimaginable dream when you consider not long ago, a young man who was once homeless, and would stand outside one of Atlanta's most luxurious and iconic theaters, The Fox Theater, had the same dream that his plays would bring laughter, joy, and inspiration to audiences around the world. That young man's name? Tyler Perry, one of Hollywood's A-List Producers, and Oprah's BFF.

Born in Muskegon Michigan to Erma Rowell and James Johnson, Deidre's parents moved to Milwaukee, Wi when she was a young girl. Her mother owned a day care, and her father owned a couple of corner stores, a couple of boutiques, and a fish market. So, it isn't hard to see where she gets her drive to turn her dreams into reality. That, plus having 12 siblings ( 2 sisters and 2 brothers on her mom's side, and 4 sisters and four brothers on her father's side), makes one dream of stepping outside of family for independence.

The dream of becoming a successful Playwright led Deidre to start her own production company to launch her plays, and other ventures. Currently, she is producing a reality TV show, full figured & satisfied.... We Bosses Too, that she hopes to air on network Television in 2016.

Through My Dreams Productions, LLC is Deidre's company that is built on faith, motivation, and determination. The vision and inspiration manifested from her dreams; not only is part of her core foundation, but is also the key to the company’s continuous growth and success.

From her books, plays, and inspirational t-shirts, Through My Dreams as a company has been tried and tested, but Deidre sites that through all the obstacles she has faced, her determination to stand and continue a forward movement exemplifies that God has the final say-so in her outcome.

Through My Dreams Productions, LLC believes that there are three C’s in life: Change, Choices, and Chances. With every change you make in your life or in business, a choice is presented. From the choices, the decision you make will present chances for improvement, correction or the ability to assist/support others. She is committed to presenting and providing great quality productions that will motivate and inspire.

"We want to ensure whether it’s from our stage plays, books, inspirational t-shirts or workshops; we’re encouraging you to challenge the three C’s in your life. Once you embrace God’s plans for your life, everything else will fall in place.” ~ Deidre Rowell

Deidre's Play, A Letter To God, was developed from a gospel hymn that she conceived, and just felt like there was more to the song that needed to be expressed on the stage.

Here's how Deidre describes her work,

"It is a inspirational and thought provoking story about a young lady’s struggle that was raised in the church, but walked away due to her anger and disappointments in her life. Although she had friends and loved ones that tried to encourage her to stay in faith, she didn’t want to listen to them and had other plans for her life. Her choices and decisions lead her through life changing challenges that she would’ve never thought would happen to her. However; through it all, God continued to stay faithful to her and reached her in ways no one else could despite her denial of Him."

One thing is certain, there is no denying Deidre Rowell's belief that like Tyler Perry, through her dreams, all things are possible.

Q&A with Deidre Rowell

Q: I was talking to a great actress friend the other day who was in some of the legendary stage director's plays, Vinette Carol. Vinette was one of my early stage influences. Who inspired you to write, direct and produce plays?

A: I can honestly say Tyler Perry has been a big inspiration to me only because his desire to see more concerning stage plays has been affective in so many ways the possibility became endless for me when I seen the cross over. To take a stage play from the stage to the screen was only a dream for some and he proved to us it can be done. Not taking away from anyone because there other s that my hat go off to like Shelly garret, David E Talbot in. The list could go on but as far as Tyler Perry is concerned he let me see that there was no limits. a letter to God was written based on a true story after being raised in the church in seeing so much going on . I felt the church became a place of business, the place I was being taught biblical principles was the place I dreaded going to from the pastors on down made me question the love of God. It me to be introduced to hell to understand there's no greater love than Gods
