Do stars really use bleach?

Updated on July 18, 2015

Is skin bleaching used in the entertainment industry?

All of us know that celebs have money to splash out on anything but do they secretly use their money to lighten their skin?

Here's a picture of Rihanna in 2005 at the World Music awards at the Kodak theatre:

Here is another image of Rihanna which was taken earlier this Year in February:

But Rihanna isn't the only one being accused of using skin bleaching products.Stars like Letoya Jackson,Lil Kim,Beyonce Knowles,Halle Berry and Jennifer freeman are also some of the few that have been accused.

What does skin bleaching contain?

There are many different types of bleaching products for example creams, pills and even soap. However some skin whitening products have contents which include several chemicals that could cause major health problems in which some also have been proved to be toxic as they could contain very high levels of mercury which is a toxic type of metal. So why the risk? When this could be a potential harm to a persons health.

However, stars like the late Michael Jackson who had appeared lighter and lighter during the years before his death was rumoured to have a skin condition which is known as Vitiligo which is skin disorder that causes patchy loss of skin pigmentation could this explain some of the stars loss of colour.

However many believe that through age peoples skin colour start to change as it can be dependent on a person's hormone so the celebs that may appear lighter could be cause by natural circumstances. Also the food you eat and the chemicals they have can have a massive contribution the change of the skin colour.Whether stars use these bleaching products is still our own opinion.

I wouldn't want to use whitening products that are toxic and bad for health. I don't think that it wouold be worth it for any stars to be using something that is bad for them. Very interesting and great pictures.
