Updated on August 20, 2012

Anthony Michael Hall and Ilan Mitchell-Smith

Hello Reader, I would like to take you on a journey thru my childhood. We will be looking at some of those great films that changed my life. I would like to start in 1985 when I was only eight years old.

Think back to 1985. Are you there yet? Do you remember a movie called " Weird Science" ? Well if you don't let me help you take a trip down memory lane. First we will cover the basics of the movie.

Directed and Written By: John Hughes

Produced By: Joel Silver

Released August 2nd 1985

Weird Science is a teen sci-fi comedy film starring Anthony Michael Hall, Kelly Lebrock, Ilan Mitchel-Smith, Bill Paxton and Robert Downey Jr.

Plot: Two nerdish boys attempt to create the perfect woman, but she turns out to be more than that.

Okay with all that out of the way lets talk about this movie. I was eight years old when this movie came out. So really i was to young to be watching this movie but having an older sister gave me some advantages. I fell in love with Kelly Lebrock from the get go. Seeing her in those panties and cut up shirt. Man was I hooked.

I like the plot of the movie. Two dorks can't get girls so they make one. Works for me. Movie starts out with boys staring at a group of girls. As they discuss what they want to do with girls two bullies pull down their shorts embarrassing boys. As they boys lay around the house watching "Frankenstein" they decided to make a girl. Great right!

After doing a bunch of stuff on computer and hooking up battery cables to a doll BAM here's Kelly Lebrock. Lebrock is hot that's all that needs to be said about that. Over the course of the movie. She will give they boys the confidence they need to meet girls. Even with a bunch of crazy things happening around them. They end up landing the girls.

This movie was great for me. I loved how the underdog won. Who couldn't be happy seeing two dorky guys end up with beautiful girls. I remember watching this movie like a hundred times. It had been so long at-least a decade since i had seen it. I decide to watch it last night. Even with it being 27 years later. I laughed like it was going out of style.

I highly recommend this movie for every one. Especially young boys. It's easily a 7.5 out of 10 star movie. One of the best of 1985. This movie even at eight years old gave me the confidence to talk to girls. My wife is so happy about that. LOL

So please tell me what was your favorite part? Did you like the movie?

Paxton was great. Going back after all these years and watching it again was awesome. Anthony Michael Hall was a great young actor back then. Him drunk in back of car was funny as hell.

One of my all time favorites!! My brother and I can still quote chapter and verse from this movie. Sadly, I think we related to the plight of "Wyatt" and "Gary" a little too well.

Favorite bits... anything that came out of "Chet" (Bill Paxton)'s mouth, he was comedy gold.
