Drums and Drummers

Updated on March 16, 2011

I gott'a tell you... I've been a fan of "the beat" since I can remember.  Maybe it started with black and white TV.  I mean everybody loved Lucy.  But I loved "Ricky" whenever he picked up that conga drum!

Yeah back in the day of black and white drum kits weren't what they are today.  But even with the limited equiptment available "back in the day", a unique sound was still able to be found.  Every drummer in the world copied this song!

Ringo Starr, the left handed drummer who played with his kit set up right handed.  His licks are different.  And it's all about the beat!  The only thing I regret about the Beatles aired performances is... Ringo wasn't showcased enough!

Some people are just born drummers.  Check out this amazing little man!

Here's a guy who can do it to it with only one hand.  Move over Def Leppard!

I think drumming is like any other art form.  And a true artist is going to find an outlet... no matter what the drawbacks are!

This drummer is just flat out zany!  And he does it all in a buttoned up shirt, and gold lamme jacket!  Rock on!  (And who cares that the singer ain't so great?)

Yep... there's all kinds of drummers and all kinds of drums. Including steel drums. And you don't even have to take a cruise to a tropical paradise to enjoy the melodic sounds!

Drums are an interesting instrument that often accents the other instruments.
