Eastenders Syed Meets His Daughter Yasmin Behind Christian's Back
Will Amira get Syed back??
The Masoods must be one of the unluckiest families in soap land, and things are only going to get worse for them in the coming months. The only one that knows Amira has Syed's child is Yusef after he arranged to meet up with her to discuss Syed. However the evil doctor doesnt want Zainab to find out about the little girl and so he tries to convince Amira that it would be better for everyone if she carried on keeping her daughter a secret from the Masoods.
That same day, Zainab has a confrontation with Bushra, and once back in the house she shares a passionate kiss with Yusef, but Zainab soon pulls away telling him that what they are doing is wrong. Later Yusef steps up his mind games when he lies to Zainab and tells her that he has received a call from the imam, who is fully aware of her earlier dispute with Bushra. Yusef then suggests that Zainab reconsider the trip to Pakistan as it would be a chance for her to escape the shame she has caused for herself. Zainab gives in and agrees to go away with him. Meanwhile Amira has arrived back on the square, and when Yusef spots her waiting outside the Masood house, he quickly pulls her away, worried that Zainab will see her and decide not to go away with him. Later an oblivious Zainab sets off to Pakistan along with Yusef and Kamil. Over at Christian and Syed's place, the house warming party is in full swing, but just as Syed announces his and Christians engagement.........in walks Amira.
Amira is clearly upset and runs off, leaving a shocked Syed to chase after her, once in the pub, Amira stuns Syed when she reveals that she has a daughter named Yasmin, and he's the father. Syed is completely taken back by her revelation and is unsure of what to say. Amira shows Syed a photo of his daughter but when Christian tries to look at the photo, Amira snatches it away and sprays perfume in Christians eyes. In all the commotion, Amira leaves the pub leaving a panicked Syed searching high and low for her. When Syed finally tracks Amira down they have a talk, and Amira agrees to let him meet his daughter, but warns him that Christian is to go nowhere near her baby.
Later Amira's revelation is taking its toll on Christian, who tells Roxy that he cant compete with Syed's daughter. Christian becomes even more worried when he cant get hold of Syed who hasn't turned up for work and has had his phone switched off all day. However when Syed does finaly show up, he tells Christian that he has been to get some legal advice on how they can both have regular access to Yasmin. The pair agree that if Christian cant see Yasmin then neither of them will. Later Syed has an argument with Masood which quickly turns into a heart to heart, Masood has found out that Zainab and Kamil are in Pakistan with Yusef, and is scared that Yusef is trying to turn them against him. Syed reassures his father that would never happen, and later asks him to talk to Amira for him. Masood refuses at first telling Syed that he cheated on his wife with another man and she has every right to be angry and upset, but Syed hits back at Masood telling him that he turned his back on his own son. Massood feels bad for turning his back on Syed and agrees to talk to Amira for him.
It is not long before Amira returns to the square with Baby Yasmin, and the Masood's are over joyed to meet their newest family member, although Affia and Amira clearly get off to a bad start when they begin sniping at each other. When he gets chance, Masood has a private chat with Amira and tries to explain that although it is hard for her to accept, Christian is apart of Syed's life now, but Amira is still adamant that she wants him nowhere near Yasmin, Amira asks Masood if he believes two gay men should bring up a baby, but Masood feels trapped by the question and doesnt give his honest answer. Meanwhile Syed has seen Amira arrive with Yasmin, and he cant just sit back and ignore the fact that his own flesh and blood is minutes away, so he goes round to see his daughter along with Christian, but an angry Amira refuses to let Christian near her child. Amira makes it clear that she wants Syed to be apart of Yasmin's life, but she is taking Yasmin abroad to see her Grandparents, and if Syed goes against her wishes she wont come back again. Syed feels caught in the middle of Christian and his daughter, but Syed leaves with Christian. Although later when Syed sees Amira about to leave in a cab, he rushes over to her, and is over the moon when he gets to hold his daughter for the first time, and he arranges to meet up with them the following day behind Christians back.
The next day, Syed tells Christian that he is going to see a solicitor, but he then goes and meets Amira and Yasmin at the park where they have a talk, Syed says he wants to start contributing to Yasmins life, and although Amira agrees she is still adamant that Christian has to stay away. Before Syed leaves the park, Amira asks someone to take a photo of the three of them on Syeds phone (which i am sure Christian will find), they arrange to meet up again and Syed says he will be honest with Christian about seeing Yasmin, however when he returns home, Roxy is there and so Syed continues to lie about his whereabouts.
Syed carries on seeing Yasmin behind Christians back, but when Ben spots him, Syed knows he has to come clean. What will this mean for Chyed??
When Zainab arrives back on the square she is shocked to discover that Amira has returned, and further shocked when she learns she is a Grandmother. Yusef is annoyed that Amira didn't follow his advice and keep away, so he attempts to manipulate Christian, by suggesting that Syed is not Yasmin's biological father. And when Syed begins spending most of his time with Amira and the baby, a lonely Christian takes matters into his own hands.
Marc Elliot who plays the role of Syed, has said "There is a big falling out between Christian and Syed and the relationship will become increasingly strained in coming months."
He then went on to say "There is certainly no happy ending in sight for Christian and Syed at the moment."
