Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Makes Big Profit During Midnight Showings

The newly rebooted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is being released this week and it does have quite the task to get done with going up against Guardians Of The Galaxy on their second week of release but after having the Turtles midnight showings already out it could be something to be reckoned with. The official total that was ranked up for the grossing box office just on the midnight showings alone was 4.6 Million which doesn't seem great but when you think that Guardians just did 11 Million and was breaking records for the month of August left and right getting 4.6 Million is heading towards the right pace when they actually decide to break out this weekend when the families and people flock out to the theaters to see the movies.I myself have already went to see Guardians twice so I will be all about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this week because I have been excited about this movie since the full trailer was released and this it could end up becoming a great movie. Some projections coming today were around the mid 30 Million area for Turtles and they are saying that Guardians will take a big drop because it wont make 90 Million again. So it will be a good contest this weekend to see who ends up making more money for the weekend and if people choose the classic Turtles or go back to the group of Marvel misfits instead.

Andy Samberg Developing A Lonely Island Movie

This news is coming as something when I was reading the dailies I just was scrolling and scrolling then did a complete double take when I saw the news on this.Andy Samberg who is an SNL regular and basically started this crazy idea of band called "The Lonely Island" which SNL would have little shorts and then out of nowhere it would be him and 2 other guys from the show basically being a rap/R&B group. The big phenomenon video they made had Justin Timberlake in it and it was just simply called "Dick In A Box" and it was instantly a hit and got like 5 million views on Youtube by the next day. Then out of nowhere the group had a record deal then started making songs like "I'm On A Boat" "Jizzed In My Pants" and many more. But the songs that were released sort of became as big of a deal and I'm On A Boat became a club hit that is still being played to this day.But now the news that Judd Apatow will produce the film and it is just based around the world of music and how they all fit into it.This is definitely going to one that if its going to get made a lot of people will hopefully go in and not expect Oscar worthy performances because its going to be that crazy Anchorman type comedy so when this gets more momentum we will see how it all plays out.

Jennifer Lawerence's The Glass Castle Making Momentum

The Glass Castle is something that has been sitting on the rafters for about 2 years now and something that Jennifer Lawrence has wanted to get done for the longest time and could possibly be said to be a "Passion Project" for her.Destin Cretton is still reportedly attached to be the director for the film and has been attached for the year that they have been trying to get this off the ground. The basic story of this movie is following a girl that is raised in a very dysfunctional family who has a artist mother and an alcoholic for a father. So when you get into it and think that Lawerence could possibly be the role of the daughter and you know she could knock it out of the park because her roles as Katniss Everdeen are out of this world and making boatloads of money as they are released. So far the Hunger Games series has made over 1.6 Billion dollars with just 2 films being released and Catching Fire holding up the end on that and two more coming with the Mockingjay chapter and having it be parts 1 and 2.I honestly think once she is done shooting for Hunger Games once and for all and has to hang up the stuff for Katniss and sort of get past all the depressing parts of it then she could totally pick this up because she could do anything she wants now after becoming a Oscar favorite for the past 3 years and knowing that her name is going to stay forever.

Lifetime Making Marilyn Monroe Miniseries

Lifetime has decided to make a miniseries for one of the most iconic people in entertainment history with Marilyn Monroe. There was a movie released a while back with Michelle Williams starring that sort of is going in the same vain as this but the movie didn't do as well as expected so Asylum Entertainment is trying it out again on Lifetime and they have attached Laurie Collyer to direct who is mostly known for the film "Sherrybaby".Stephen Kronish who wrote for 24 and The Kennedy's is tapped to become the writer for the series.I think that ever since Lifetime has lifted off with The Client List and having little mini movies about people like Anna Nicole Smith and having those ratings go through the roof whenever it is being aired. So if they get their creative heads together and do it right and possibly take the things that the movie couldn't you could see this becoming the right way to tell Marilyn's story and it could last 3 or 4 seasons and it will or could be a smashing success for the channel.

Mockingjay Pt.1 Gets Character Posters

For any big fans of the Hunger Games series will be excited to see and know that there are about 6 character posters released for the District. The one showing below has Philip Seymour Hoffman in one of his last films before he ended up passing away. The films first trailer is below and it doesn't show much but for the hardcore fans out there they are jumping all over it and eating this up since it is the last two films. Now that I mentioned before with Jennifer Lawerence she has grossed over 1.6 Billion dollars off of two movies alone and knowing that Mockingjay is the big finale you know it is going to gross tons and tons of money here in the US and Worldwide.

Lizzy Caplan Joins Joseph Gordon Levitt's Christmas Film

Lizzy Caplan who can most famously be known from such films as Cloverfield,Hot Tub Time Machine,TV's Masters Of Sex and Mean Girls. But now she has signed on to be in Joseph Gordon Levitt's new christmas film that will obviously star him,Seth Rogen,Jonathan Levine and Anthony Mackie.Having this group of guys could be awesome because when you hear of Seth Rogen in a film its like "Ok where are Danny Mcbride and James Franco??" But this cast is so different an Rogen is going back to working with Gordon Levitt again like they did in 50/50 which ended up being a smash hit for the both of them. The basic story of the film is going to be the group of friends meeting up back in New York City after a long amount of time with not seeing each other so its sort of a reunion comedy set during the holidays. The production for the film starts next week and Caplan is set to play Gordon Levitt's love interest in the film.

Camp X-Ray Gets Its First Trailer

Now I know reading this as soon as most readers find out that Kristen Stewart is in this film a lot of people will stop reading and move on but I hope you don't and can continue on regardless for the news. Now with it being a good 2 years maybe more since Stewart has been Bella Swan and stuck with that whole world that is The Twilight Saga. But with this new film that is coming out and officially premiered at Sundance a while back and did get some acclaim because people were surprised to see her come out of her shell and become something that she isn't in any way shape or form. But now being able to see some visuals for it and with the actual release date being October 17th it does look like something I would see when it comes out just to see how she is in a different world that doesn't involve vampires and all that. The films story if you don't know has Stewart playing a Guantanamo Bay prison guard and how she gets connected and falls for a detainee. Now start with the jokes ahead of time about with what happened during Snow White And The Huntsmen because if you have that in your head thats all your gonna think of the entire time watching this and after watching the trailer it could be something different for her in her career much like how The Rover was something special for Robert Pattinson.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Scores Disney BIG Payday

With the gigantic release of Guardians Of The Galaxy making boatloads of money and having glowing reviews.Disney being the one who owns everything Marvel has earned a GIANT payday with their yearly total making over 1 Billion dollars domestically and its from Guardians,Maleficent and Captain America:The Winter Soldier. With just 3 movies driving the force to make over a billion dollars and with one of them not being a Marvel studios films says something for Disney as a whole that they are still a giant powerhouse regardless if they have Marvel on their side or not.It is recorded that this is the 9th consecutive year that Disney has made over a billion dollars in a year and it is its 5th in a row that Disney has made over 2 million as well so definitely with this summer of movies you can say for sure that Disney was raking in the money and definitely going to finish out the year in the black.
