Erica Rebinski - Nashville Musicians
Introducing Erica Rebinski
What happens in Nashville, stays in Nashville. Kinda. If you have never had the opportunity to visit Music City and experience the ambience along Broadway, whether upper or lower or everything in between, I highly suggest it.
I visited Nashville for one reason — music. Actually country music, but I was pleasantly surprised with an amazing mixture of most genres. Yes, I even heard rap, soul and they were singing the blues. I was impressed with their drive and desire to fuel their passion — music.
Walking along Broadway the sounds of music pours out into the streets while the alcohol is poured into the chilled glasses inside the bars. Then comes the laughter, the dancing, the new friendships made. What a fine combination — music, dancing, laughter, friends and booze.
So what are y'all waiting for? Nashville musicians are waiting on you to visit so they could entertain you. They welcome song requests and please tip them well, these amazing artists work hard for their money.
Come on and discover the Nashville Musician who covers Miranda Lambert songs like no one else could do, yet has her own style of music that will make you a fan for life!
Erica Rebinski is from Pocahontas, WV but now calls Hermitage, TN her home. She kinda resembles pocahontas in her own way.
Join Erica and I as she shines through her interview. Be sure and listen to the song that helps inspire her against bullies and peer pressure.
Do You Have a Ritual Prior To Performing?
I try to drink some form of honey and hot tea before a show. If I have more than enough time I like to drink apple cider vinegar warmed with honey and water mixed in.
A Musician That Inspired You?
I've had many musicians that have inspired me. By far my favorites are Jewel, Martina McBride, Dave Matthews and Grace Potter. All are amazing writers with exceptional voices to match.
What Inspired Your Love Of Music?
I've always loved music. My favorite musical to watch was and still is the Phantom of the Opera. Poetry, singing, humming, karaoke, jazz band - music has always been a big part of who I am, and the stage is a place where I can truly be myself.
Have You Had Vocal Training?
I've had some help, and tips here and there, but only took one year of official lessons while I was in college.
Do You Play Any Instruments?
I'm currently taking keyboard lessons and can play a little guitar and saxophone.
Do You Write Your Own Songs?
I have written my own songs, and plan on continuing my path as a songwriter; growing as a person and as an artist.
Where Do You See Yourself In 5 Years?
With the help of family, friends and amazing fans I plan on being on stages throughout the world sharing my love and passion of music with everyone willing to listen.
Any Advice For An Artist Just Getting Started?
Never give up! Work hard! When you think you are working hard enough, work even harder.
If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing well. If it is worth having, it is worth waiting for. If it is worth attaining, then it is worth fighting for. If it is worth experiencing, then it is worth putting time aside for.— Oscar Wilde
Which Musician Would You Want To Portray You In A Movie?
I'm really not sure, but if I had to pick one - Demi Lovato. She's been through many hardships throughout her career, but she seems to stay true to herself. I like who she represents, when it comes to loving yourself.
Another option would be Shania Twain because of her life, she's definitely a woman with a difficult past, and she's always loved music even when she was young! She had a tough life, losing both her parents and raising her siblings at 21. To have a musician who has experienced as much as she has, but still made her way to Nashville and soon after became a star! It would be an honor to have her represent in a movie about my life.
The Most Special Song That You Have Written?
"Life Gets In The Way"
This song expresses the hardships of what many people experience at some points in their life. Feeling trapped, and lost in the crowd when all they want is to be heard and accepted.
This song means alot to me because it's my way of sharing that I've been through that same pain. I was bullied in high school and it reflects on me at times, though I'm surrounded with amazing, talented, loving people now; bullies, peer pressure, all of that is very real.
If You Could Perform A "One Night Only" Concert Anywhere In The World; Where Would That Be?
Norway! It's gorgeous and a place full of intelligent and kind people! I would want everyone to experience my one night concert in a place unique, beautiful, and an experience everyone would remember! And of course I would try my best to make arrangements to fly over all my friends, family, and as many fans as possible! After all it wouldn't be a night to remember without everyone there!
Which Artist Would You Like To Collaborate With?
As many as possible, we all have something to learn from each other.
Which Act Would You Like To Open For?
I would love to open for multiple artists! Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Grace Potter, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Nashville Nobodies - it's impossible to pick just one.
Favorite Concert That You've Been To?
I have an amazing friend who took me to my first Grace Potter concert last year and I had a blast! I froze a bit, but the experience was something that I'll never forget. That woman is truly a talent.
Favorite Toppings On Nachos?
Jalapeños and brisket! Totally makes the nachos irresistible!
