First album: Infinite(1995), sold less than a thousand copies. Subjects covered in Infinite included his struggles with raising his newborn daughter Hailie Jade Scott Mathers while on limited funds.

Rap Olympic: 1997, secured 2nd place. Met Dr Dre and Dr Dre signed Eminem to his Interscope Records label.

Second album: The Slim Shady LP(1999),turned Eminem from an unknown rapper into a high-profile celebrity. The album was met with both critical and commercial success; critics praised Eminem for his unique lyrical style, and the record debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200.
