You can also do some shots that are conceptual such as using candy paired with the eyes of a model to show the reference to the theme.

Digital programs may be very suitable for this particular project if you know how to use it properly or you can just carefully use some water soluble glue and stick some candy pieces around the eye portions of the face and also use some of the bigger sizes like giant lollipops and get the model to hold it close to her eye. This also connects the two themes together.

The resulting images can be used by some poster manufactures, general photographic publications, on web sites and suitable for other commercial purposes.

Be mindful that is is much like doing product photography in that every aspect of the project has to be technically sound and offer the viewer a pleasant image upon which to look at.

You have heard many times the term eye candy. Photography is quite adept at capturing images that portray eye candy in one way or another.

Typically when adults refer to the term they usually are referring to someone of the opposite sex who happens to be very attractive, so much so that it makes your mouth water for desire.

However, eye candy has many other adaptions and not all have to be about people. Thus not all your photographs have to be about beautiful people. Jewels, food, gadgets, pets, nature, animals, flowers and so on. All of these can be used to make the theme work.

"Something purely aesthetically pleasing, that is, pleasing to the senses. Can be a person, a film, a sunset, a flower, or anything else you can see."

Your goal is to look for samples whereat they are people, cars, houses, jewelry or basically anything that most people would find to be very desirable and proceed to capturing the corresponding images.

You really do not need any specialized equipment for this shot other than your regular gear and perhaps a flash unit. If photographing people make sure to ask for permission and explain the purposes of the shoot.

The best alternative is to use paid models or volunteers and do the shoot either in the studio or on a suitable pleasing location like the beach for example.

Also keep in mind that if you are going to use real people their photographs do not have to be nude or extremely revealing. Often a pretty face is enough. For cars try to capture images of top notch ones, the ones that you do not see everyday.

For jewelry the same holds true. Go for samples that are exotic and look quite expensive. Most jewelers will allow to photograph their inventory so long as you provide them with printed or digital copies which they can in turn use as part of their advertisements.

Don't forget nature. There are plenty of exotic and very pleasant locations that will fit the theme such as a beautiful sunset on a deserted beach. Food also has its appeal like a sumptuous plate of seafood and so on.

A good technique to employ before you commence on the project is to ask a good number of people for what constitutes eye candy for them and try not to repeat the same answer twice.

About ten or so is a good starting number of responses. Although not allowing for double answers, the resulting number should at least give you a good solid platform from where to expand on your eye candy subject;s lists.

Great examples for eye candy are the ones you actually drool over.
