As the nights grow longer and the seasons transition from summer to autumn people abandon their outdoor activities for the alternative reality of television shows. From the comfort of their warm couches they anticipate new stories every fall. However many turn in for their favorites from last spring. This article will highlight three shows that will air their final season this fall, which are must sees!

NBC has been especially trigger happy when it comes to cancelling shows lately. However with the devoted fans of 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, and Community they had the decency to give each show a final farewell season, although shorten. It's these shows that I recommend tuning in for this fall.

30 Rock - Thursday October 4th 8PM

On Thursday Night October 4, 2012; the ever popular and awarded comedy 30 Rock will start its Seventh and final season. The popular show on NBC stars Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan and it's creator Tina Fey of Saturday Night Live fame and the impersonator of Sarah Palin. The show first began in 2006, only taking a hiatus last fall after Fey and fellow costar Jane Krakowski both gave birth, a sort of maternity leave for the show! The show has had over 100 episodes and has been placed in syndication so if you can't watch the final season, at least you can catch old episodes on Comedy Central!

30 Rock centers on the behind the scenes antics of the making of a NBC TV show TGIS, with Tina Fey as Liz Lemon, the head writer and Alec Baldwin as Jack Donaghy, Liz Lemon's rich boss.

Unlike the other two series I mention in this article, 30 Rock is coming to a natural end. The show has always been great and will continue to be in it's final season but it's creators and actors never saw it going past 2012 anyways. The only problem is they are giving 30 Rock a abbreviated season of only 13 episodes compared to it's usual 22 episodes! I feel like this is a slap in the face of a winner of 6 Golden Globes show!

Even with a shorten season, the final season of 30 Rock will still be worth watching on NBC on Thursdays at 8 PM!

Community begins it's final season on October 19, 2012

Community - Friday October 19th 8:30 PM

On Friday October 19, 2012 on NBC the final season of the cult hit TV show Community will air. The unique show has been through a lot in the last year from a sudden mid season disappearance act to a fan induce revival and now an abbreviated 13 episode final season. This will be Community's fourth season. The show first aired in 2009. The show was created by Dan Harmon and centers around a study group at Greendale Community College. The study group is played by Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Donald Glover and the famous Chevy Chase!

There has been a total of 71 episodes so far. At the end of the final season the total number of episodes should reach 84, just shy of syndication status! Read more about the battles of Community and how great the show is in the links the below!

Community airs on Friday October 19, 2012 at 8:30 PM on NBC. This is a schedule move from the shows typical Thursday night airing at 8 pm.

Parks and Recreation's final season airs on September 20, 2012

Parks and Recreation - Thursday September 20th 9:30 PM

On Thursday September 20, 2012, NBC will air the final season of Parks and Recreation, a comedy that has for the most part been under the radar, however its only gotten better with time. This will be the fifth season of the the show that stars Amy Poehler, Adam Scott and Rob Lowe. Like 30 Rock and Community, this final season of Parks and Recreation will only be 13 episodes, which is an abbreviated season. The show focus on the antics of a small Indiana town's public officials as they pursue to create a better community. The show was created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur.

Parks and Recreation originally aired in 2009. It will continue in its Thursday night spot at 9:30 PM on September 20, 2012.

I love all three of these shows!!!! I didn't know the season was cut short to 13 episodes!! I didn't even know that this was their final season!!!! Shame on me... and Shame on NBC for not realizing the gems that they have. I believe that their time has come... but I don't like that fact that they are only given 13 episodes... that's low, not fair... I'm gonna go cry now like a little angry baby....
