Jourdan Dunn was born in the UK in 1990. She is 5 foot 10 inches tall and a size 2. She made her catwalk premiere at the age of 17. She has been on the cover of both Vogue and Elle and has walked the runways for Ralph Lauren and Prada, to name just a few. She has been praised for being one of the most beautiful black couture models to ever walk the runway.
Liya Kebede was born in 1978 and, like Jourdan Dunn, is also 5 foot 10 and a US size 2. Liya has been modeling for many years.
She was born in Ethiopia and was discovered by a film scout when she was attending her Ethiopian French high school.
She worked in France and New York after she graduated. He popularity soared in 2000 and she has since been on the covers of Vogue in five countries. She was also a face for cosmetic giants Revlon and Estee Lauder.
She owns Lemlem, which is a company that sells hand-made clothing made by Ethiopians. Liya, most importantly, is also an international ambassador for mother-child health issues that affects people of Africa and around the world.
Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi, also sometimes affectionately referred to simply as "Oluchi," was born in Nigeria, Africa in 1982. She is 6 foot tall and a size 4.
Oluchi was discovered at the age of 17 after winning the "Face of Africa" contest. She was then signed by Elite modeling agency to a three-year term contract.
She has graced the covers of Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, and Allure, and has been featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue numerous times. Oluchi has been a runway model for Christian Dior, Chanel, and Armani.
Oluchi has since opened her own modeling agency in Africa to encourage and further market African models in the fashion world.
Betty Adewole has come onto the scene lately and is up and coming. She was born in the UK in 1992 and started modeling at the age of 17.
She is of Nigerian ancestry - both of her parents are Nigerian-born and both are nurses.
She has done runway shows for Emanuel Ungaro, Issey Miyake, Elie Tahari, and Vivienne Westwood, among others.
She is 5 foot 11 inches tall and a size 2/4. Betty is a fan of rock music and skateboarding.
