These are the top fantasy movies of 2007, and recommended DVDs to play in your home movie theater for 2008. Even if you have seen them once, some of them are definitely worth a second watch.

Stardust

A movie based on a novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman. From the small village of Wall, a young man ventures to the magical land of Stormhold to seek a fallen star for his loved one.

Enchanted

The real world and the animated world collide.

A fairytale princess is sent to the modern day New Your City of our world by an evil queen. Though NYC was supposed to be the place without true love, she finds herself in love with a lawyer.

Beowulf

Pride is the curse.

Based on an Old English poem, Beowulf is an animated fim about an epic hero of the same name, who arrives to rid king Hrothgar of a monster called Grendel. The story gets a few twists after Grendels mother enters the stage.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Lyra Belaqya begins her adventure from Oxford, where she lives among scholars as a little girl. After hearing about Dust she is flung into the midst of talking beasts and dark villains, but fortunately has a compass to guide her.
