Fender Vibro Champ XD - Superb Tube Amp

The Fender Vibro Champ XD is a superb practice amp. It carries the vintage Vibro Champ into a new dawn. This Fender amp is stylish with easy controls for beginners, practicing musicians and small gigs.

The tube feel and the performance is astonishing considering the price and with 16 voices (sound types) this really is a great amp.

Fenders real tube accompanied with modern pieces such as amp voicing and superb effects makes this one hell of a versatile amp, creating many different, classic and modern sounds.

Small But Packs A Punch

The Fender Vibro Champ XD is a great little amp. Small and lightweight but does pack a punch considering it's only 5 watt.

It will fill any medium sized room or will work brilliantly as a practice amp. The Fender XD is also a great little small gig amp.

The solid state starter or practice amps are no match for the Vibro Champ XD, It's Fender standard tubes at 6V6 and 12AX7 are great for pre and amplification producing nice clear sounds. The tubes are consistently reacting.

One of the major selling points of the Fender XD is the 16 voices. You can see a list of these below.

The internal speaker has a connection for 1/4" jack, this means you can connect the Fender Vibro Champ to another amp by just using the 1/4" jack lead. Pat on the back for that Fender. The back panel also has a 1/4" jack for Line Out.

The Vibro Champ XD basically a hybrid that uses modelling technology and the tubes position this little cracker way beyond the standard modelling of small amps.

This Fender Champ XD amplifier is perfect for those who want to gain the benefits of tubes but also on a budget. Fender have hit the nail on the head with this little cracker.

Fender Super Champ XD Demo in Action

This video will show you Nikolay Karageorgiev playing his guitar through the Fender Vibro Champ XD.

There is no talking, just Nikolay playing his guitar through the various voices and effects provided by the Vibro Champ XD.

A very good video showing what sounds the Fender can produce. No words are needed.

Champ XD - My Current Champ

As you could probably tell I like this amp very much.

The speaker looks great, it's aesthetically pleasing. The sound is warm. I love the fact you can connect the Vibro Champ XD to other cabinets.

I will state though that the volume levels are different on the voices, the volume will vary depending on what voice you have chosen. I think this is evident on the video.

Some of the voices are extremely loud so there is no need for the amp to go all the way to eleven.

I play my Gibson Les Paul Standard through this and it sounds great. I haven't replaced it yet.
