Festivals and NC

Updated on October 4, 2015

There is no doubt that what is called the Research Triangle Park area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill) also has a very active and thriving music and festival scene...

Why just like at the month of September and already, the early part of October...We have seen festivals that range from Bluegrass which just ended to festivals that honor innovation in all forms of culture (Sparkcon) to Blues and Reggae (Bull Durham Blues Festival and Jerkfest)...and earlier, this year one of the premiere New Festivals in the field of Jazz (Art of Cool) was having it's second year and brought in amazing acts like Buster Brown, Anthony Hamilton, and many more............

And, within this community, there are also some amazing musicians that know call this area home...Among some of these folks is Branford Marsalis, Nnenna Freelon, John Howie Jr., Rissi Palmer, Kim Arrington, etc.........

Yes, there is always good music to be found in this part of the state, and it doesn't even matter you musical style...Shucks we have some awesome Polka bands and Irish bands here in the area........

So, come on down to the middle of NC, be part of the festivities, and get your dance grove on.....
