Finding Bigfoot is a TV show on Animal Planet. This show is all about how a team from the Bigfoot Research Organization go in search of Bigfoots hoping to find clues that could help them prove that they do exist.

The existence of Bigfoots has been rubbished by some people, and there are some others who strongly believe that Bigfoots do exist.

Not minding the opposing views the Bigfoot team continue their search in the hope of spotting them some day soon.

Bigfoots are also known as Sasquatches.

Members of the Bigfoot Team

The members of the Bigfoot Research Organization (BFRO) are -

Matt MoneyMaker - Founder and President of the BFRO

Ranae Holland - Field Biologist

Cliff Barackman - Bigfoot Expert

James Bobo Fay - Researcher

All about finding Bigfoot

In this TV show, the team goes from place to place looking for clues leading to Bigfoots. They choose a place to investigate based on the number of Bigfoot sightings that are reported. Sometimes they go to places that do not have many Bigfoot sightings because the pieces of evidence presented are substantial.

Before the actual search starts, the team members call the local people for a meeting in the town hall. They ask them if they have come close to seeing a Bigfoot or believe that they have seen one.

The team listened to all the reports and based on the reports they choose an area where they feel that Bigfoots are most likely to be present and begin their investigations.

What do they do?

When they have chosen a place to search for Bigfoots they comb the area thoroughly looking for clues. Sometimes they stay overnight in that area.

The Bigfoot search team have cameras attached to their faces, and they also have people recording what they do.

The team splits into two to score a large area; they sometimes pitch a tent overnight to keep watch. In the morning, they compare notes to see what they have found. Several times the Bigfoot search team ask the local people to help them search the area for clues.

James BoBo Fay is an expert in calling out to Bigfoots. He has a particular call that is deafening and has a unique sound. This sound is supposed to get the attention of Bigfoots in that area and at times, there is a loud cry in response.

The team members also use two sticks or rocks to make knocking sounds attract the Bigfoot to respond with a reply knock.

The team measure the footsteps, compares heights, the length of strides and many more statistics to find out if the pieces of evidence are sightings of the Bigfoot or not.

Ranae Holland, the field biologist, does not believe in the existence of Bigfoots. She questions every piece of evidence and comes up with options to show that it could not have been a Bigfoot.

Pieces of evidence that I found totally amazing

There are pieces of evidence in this TV show that almost made me believe in the existence of Bigfoots.

Here are a few -

  • a mold of a footprint so large that it cannot be that of a human and I do not know of any animal or beast that could have such a large footprint
  • when Bobo called out to Bigfoots, there was a response cry, a unique cry that I cannot pin down to any animal that I know
  • sometimes when the team members made knocking sounds with two sticks, there was a distinct reply with another knock
  • thermal video footage that showed the presence of a figure of enormous proportions
  • the report of a police officer about seeing a Bigfoot face to face

and so much, much more!

Finding Bigfoot

Finding Bigfoot is a TV show that makes me wonder whether there are Bigfoots or not. It makes me want to believe that there are Bigfoots somewhere in this world based upon the pieces of evidence.

The methods that the BFRO team members follow to track Bigfoots are amazing and very thorough. It is mesmerizing to watch what they do. I also find the reports of Bigfoot sightings fascinating.

Finding Bigfoot is a great TV show to watch for people who believe in Bigfoots. Those who do not believe in Bigfoots can still watch this show just to see the way they track the clues and analyze pieces of evidence.

I do not believe that Bigfoots exist, but I believe in the saying "There is no smoke without fire." There have been many Bigfoot sightings across the world and maybe if the BFRO keep searching they might find the ultimate clue that leads right up to a Bigfoot.

Do you believe that Bigfoots exist?

I have watched a few episodes on Bigfoot and find them very interesting. The characters make it exciting and you find yourself looking for this mysterious creature right along with them. Seems as if there really were a big foot we would have found one by now. Glad to find someone else who enjoys watching these types of series.

I love a good mystery and if they are there, that we do not harm them in any way and let them be, for surely if they are there and no one has been harmed by them in the past, then they must be friendly.

It seems as the world is getting so small so-to-speak, many more would have come into contact with them by now, but it is certainly an interesting mystery yet to be solved!

The video was an eye-opener. I still am skeptical, but I remember reading that two Japanese soldiers were found 5 years after WWll ended. They escaped detention by hiding in the jungle. Interesting topic and hub. Thank's for sharing..

This sounds like an interesting show, Vellur. Thanks for the review. I doubt that Bigfoot exists myself, but I do like to keep an open mind about the possibility.

I'm still not convinced that these "Finding Bigfoot" guys are for real. I keep waiting for one of them to "break character" and reveal that it is all an elaborate performance-art joke.

They've been looking for Bigfoot in our area for decades. There's even a Bigfoot museum nearby. All that's missing is Bigfoot. :) I've never heard of this show but it sounds like it would be interesting.

Jackie Lynnley your idea of a dart gun is cool! It think the BFRO should definitely use it. I totally agree that some of the evidences are not avery convincing. Thank you for reading, the vote up and share. I will see it and take part.

I believe they could well exist because of evidence found but any shows I have watched on it have been so inconclusive and a bit suspicious so it will be great to have an honest search for Big Foot and sort of like getting to go with them. I hope they have dart guns in case they do find one so they wouldn't have to kill it if it goes for them. Very interesting! Up and sharing.

Did you see my challenge for a winter memory? Hope you will do it; would be lots of fun this time of year to read each others stories!
