Fortune Telling With Clow Cards

In the 25th episode of Cardcaptor Sakura anime ("Two Sakuras"), Kero-Chan taught Sakura how to use the cards in fortune-telling.

1) Shuffle the cards using your left hand

2) Return them to the pile

3) Cut them into three piles

4) Return them back to one pile (in any order you like)

5) And then start drawing the cards you like and start placing them in order, following the pattern as shown in the photo below. Start from the top and work your way downwards

6) Make your query

7) Start by flipping the top card. This is the means of transmission.

8) The three middle cards tells about the opposing force.

9) And lastly, flip open the card at the bottom of the remaining pile. (Not really sure what this means but in the anime, it is what the opposing Clow card was after)

Note that fortune telling is not a science, let alone an exact one. The interpretation depends on the one who is making the query.
