Freddie and Jovie
The newly weds sure did celebrate. Something strikes me as odd here, though. A senior citizen marrying a teen. How could anyone in their right mind think that a 42 year gap is a loving relationship? She's as old as his daughter, for crying out loud, and I couldn't really comprehend and understand why they are so in love with each other. I actually got bored thinking about why their 42 year gap allowed them to marry, so I found a hammer, which I promptly put back in place. On the day of Christmas Eve last year, I sat next to a man on the jeepney (which is the main mass transport system in the Philippines) who was disgusted at their relationship.
They are actually quite sweet, no? If I was invited to their Muslim wedding, I just might have gone to the gifty-wifty shop, where the smell of pot-pourri is so intense that it makes you go cross-eyed, and then... And then what? Buy them something nice and give it to them, of course.
So, the question you might ask yourself now is: "should we interfere"? The answer, I suspect, is "not really". I could, of course, write a comment on ABS-CBN's page about this. But what's the point? If you hate them, you might as well get yourself stressed and have a heart-disease.
The best course of action for us all, really, is to simply respect their romance and watch and see what's next. Besides, it's their future, not ours. I honestly wish them both the best of luck.
