Good Chick Flicks

Are you a fan of chick flicks and looking for a good chick flick to watch tonight? This is a list of some really good chick flicks to enjoy. Some of these movies are some of the best chick flicks of all time and some are just really good chick flicks to enjoy.

If you don't know what a chick flick is, a chick flick is a movie geared towards the female demographic. Typically chick flicks are romantic comedies, but they are also films with female protagonists that focus on female friendships or journey that the protagonist takes.

While chick flicks are typically geared towards towards women, that does not mean that guys can't enjoy chick flicks as well. In fact, there is a whole new industry of trying to meld the typical "action/guy film" with the "romantic comedy/chick flick" such as This Means War.

The Proposal

The Proposal was romantic comedy all star, Sandra Bullock's return to romantic comedies. This enjoyable chick flick pairs Bullock with hottie Ryan Reynolds as her assistant at a publishing company. Bullock's character is endanger of being deported to Canada and tells immigration she and Reynolds are engaged. As the two attempt to convince the U.S. Government that they are in love by traveling to Alaska to see Reynolds' family, romance ensues.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Based upon the widely successful books series, Confessions of a Shopaholic, the chick flick starring Isla Fisher, tells the story of a writer who is majorly in debt due to a shopping addiction. In search of at a fashion magazine, she ends up writing a column for a finance magazine about budgeting and responsible management of your finances. As she is afraid that her secret as a financial disaster will be exposed, she also finds love.

Legally Blonde

Legally Blonde is the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who ends up at Harvard Law to get back her boyfriend. Instead, Elle finds herself, a new career, and a new love. Legally Blonde was so successful it was followed up by Legally Blonde 2--Red, White and Blonde in which Elle heads to Washington D.C. to fight against animal testing.

Dear John

Dear John is based on a book by Nicholas Sparks and tells the story of a soldier and college student who fall in love by are separated by war. They write love letters to each other, but are the love letters enough to overcome the many miles between them?

When Harry Met Sally

Harry and Sally, two strangers and recently University of Chicago graduates drive cross country to New York City. They arrive in New York and decide to go their separate ways after deciding that men and women can never be "just friends" because sex always gets in the way. Over the years, Harry and Sally continue to run into each other and eventually become friends. In fact, they become best friends. However, just as was predicted men and women can never be just friends and soon their friendship turns to romance.

When Harry Met Sally stars 1980's America's Sweetheart and romantic comedy darling, Meg Ryan, who also performs the infamous "orgasm" scene in Katz's Deli.
