Impress Girls by Acoustic Guitar Playing Skills with These Songs
Get some girls
Playing guitar is a passion for many of us. We enjoy sitting around and learning new songs all the time. It's a great way to just relax and focus your attention on something other than all the other crap going on in our lives. BUT, there is a return on this investment of time and passion. When in the right situation, you may be able to impress a girl you like, or one you're just trying to pick up by guitar playing skills being polished and you knowing the right songs. The key is, you need to be prepared to pull out something she will know and probably like. She may not appreciate some good Joe Satriani so you better know some Top 40 stuff or just old established tunes.
I'm Yours by Jason Mraz
If you can sing, this is a great song to perform. I find it to be a pretty fun song to listen to. It sort of has that island feel to it. I just looked up the tabs for it on UltimateGuitarTabs and it doesn't look to difficult to play. This is also one that most everyone has heard by now.
Smile by Uncle Kracker
This is still a relatively new song, but most of the women I know tend to like it. It's another one of those easy going love songs. Another song that's not too difficult to play.
To Be With You by Mr. Big
Mr. Big who? For those of you younger folks, this group did have a couple songs back in "the day". If she's heard this song, it should be okay as well. When it came out I think every chick loved this one.
Nothing Else Matters by Metallica
Nowadays, not everyone may know this one, but it is a great one. When I was in high school, all anyone had to play was the VERY EASY intro, and that was about all you needed. Even if you don't want to impress a girl with this one, it's a great one to learn. Beautiful tune.
Every Rose Has It's Thorn by Poison
I like this one a lot. It's a VERY easy song to play on acoustic. Maybe has 5 chords in the whole thing. If you can add some good vocals, it will sound good and make you look even better. Those old hair bands were good for something I guess.
Don't Cry by Guns N Roses
This is one of those break up songs, but still sounds good. Easy to play and is meant for an acoustic guitar. This is also one of those songs where Axl Rose doesn't really sound like Axl Rose so the rest of us can actually sing it too.
Glycerine by Bush
This is more for an electric with some distortion but could sound okay on an acoustic too. This is another one of those songs that younger girls may not like so much. But, it's another good tune none the less.
5 Greatest Guitar Solos
- 5 Greatest Rock Guitar Solos
Growing up I always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. For some reason, my parents would never buy me one no matter how much I begged. So, when I turned 15 I took all my birthday money and purchased my...
Maybe these songs are more for a little older crowd, but they are still good songs by guitar standards. I'm also sure I'll get comments from the female crowd disputing some. If that's you, please leave some advice and maybe I will do another hub based on the female vote. These were put togethor based purely on observation.
