Grease Movie - Where To Find Grease Movie Collectibles, Memorabilia, Costumes, Dolls, and Grease Posters

Updated on September 8, 2011

Grease Movie - Grease Sing-A-Long

When Grease originally came out in the summer of 1978 no one expected it to become the huge classic movie it became; least of all its stars, John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

Not only was it a major hit during its premiere (where audiences were returning to see it 2 or 3 times), but it keeps being re-discovered by new generations that are falling in love with it all over again.

It is being touted as the original "High School Musical" and was even re-released in theaters on its 20th Anniversary.

Well sure enough, Grease is being "re-re-released again", only this time it in the form of a Grease Sing-a-Long version.

Not only has the movie been digitally enhanced, but it now includes lyrics at the bottom of the screen along with play animations such as floating hearts during Summer Nights and Hand Jive how-to's so audiences can happily participate in the fun.

Original screenings of Grease Sing-A-Long have proved to be hugely successful, and many fans are comparing it to another classic movie, the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Grease fans are appearing at theaters wearing T-Bird Jackets and Pink Lady Jackets. Some are even going all out in full Grease costumes.

Props are being handed out such as little yellow flags for audience members to wave during the beginning of the car race scene in the movie, and bubbles are being blown during the song "Beauty School Dropout."

There is even an on-line campaign where fans can request to have the movie shown in their local theaters if it isn't being shown already.

As fans rediscover their love for this classical musical, interest in the old collectibles have risen as well.
