The screenplay delves into different aspects of love as shown through ten separate stories involving a wide variety of individuals, many of whom are shown to be interlinked as their tales progress.

The film depicts a love affair involving Viola de Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow) and playwright William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) while he was writing the play Romeo and Juliet. The story is fiction, though several of the characters are based on real people. In addition, many of the characters, lines, and plot devices are references to Shakespeare's plays.

Best Time to Make Your Move: Right After the crowd erupts with applause.

With Honors

The Plot: Brendan Fraser plays a Harvard masters student working on his thesis. His only copy of said thesis ends up in the hands of homeless Joe Pesci, who is residing in the Harvard Library. In attempting to get it back, Fraser has Pesci evicted from the library, forcing Pesci to trade one page of the thesis for each random act of kindness provided by Fraser's character.

The film follows Fraser's evolution, Pesci's demise, and a budding romance in the house where they both live.

Best Time to Make Your Move: The pajama party. Either during Pesci's speech, or just after.

This was the final film of director Gary Winick. The film was released theatrically in North America and other countries on May 14, 2010. The idea for the film was inspired by the 2006 non-fiction book, Letters to Juliet, by Lise Friedman and Ceil Friedman, which chronicles the phenomenon of letter writing to Shakespeare's most famous romantic heroine.

Best Time to Make Your Move: When Claire Meets Lorenzo.

Can't Hardly Wait

The Plot: Can't Hardly Wait is a 1998 American teen comedy film written and directed by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont. It stars an ensemble cast including Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ethan Embry, Charlie Korsmo, Lauren Ambrose, Peter Facinelli, and Seth Green, and is notable for a number of "before-they-were-famous" appearances by teen stars.

The story takes place at a high school graduation party and in a style much like that of the high school movies of the 1980s. The filmmakers were inspired by their observation that in most teen films the best scenes were the party scenes, and thus decided to make a movie set entirely at a party. Though the film deals in common high school stereotypes, some favor its chaotic but appealing mise en scène and performances.

Best Time to Make Your Move: At the end, when they agree to get coffee.

Serendipity

The Plot: Serendipity is a 2001 romantic-comedy about a couple the reunites years after the night they first met, fell in love, and separated, convinced that one day they'd end up together.

Thacker encounters Hollywood superstar Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) when she enters his shop to buy a book. Minutes later, the pair collide in the street and his orange juice spills on her clothes. He offers his house nearby for Anna to change and they develop an on again-off again friendship and attraction.

Best Time to Make Your Move: When the final song comes on after the press conference.

Easy A

The Plot: Olive Penderghast (Emma Stone) a teenage girl living in Ojai California lies to her best friend Rhiannon Abernathy (Aly Michalka) about going on a date in order to get out of camping with Rhiannon's hippie parents. Instead, she hangs around the house all weekend listening to Natasha Bedingfield's "Pocketful of Sunshine". The following Monday, pressed by Rhiannon, Olive lies about losing her virginity to a college guy. Overheard by the school's Jesus-freak, the rumors spreads quickly and things get out of hand.

Best Time to Make Your Move: When she climbs on the lawnmower at the end.

Loverboy

The Plot: This is the story of a college slacker who stumbles into a male escort job during his summer break to raise enough money to get back to college and the girl he loves. Patrick Dempsey does a fantastic job in the lead role.

Best Time to Make Your Movie: During the Kirstie Alley-Patrick Dempsey dance scene (hey, sometimes the best move is a fun one)
