The Best Guitars for Beginners...

So you want to start playing guitar...

Taking on any instrument can be an exciting but overwhelming experience. When it comes to the guitar, it can be even more of a daunting experience due to the many different price ranges, styles and functions of every guitar.

So in order to break this down for you, here are some questions you have to ask yourself:

  • What kind of guitar should you get? Acoustic? Electric?
  • How big of an investment is the guitar to you?
  • What's your price range?

Below I will break down each question in depth and give you some options for getting started. The goal is to ease your mind and give you some real insight into the world of Guitars!

Acoustic Guitars... Not just for beginners

Acoustic Guitars...

When most of the population thinks of beginner guitars, their mind automatically pictures an acoustic guitar. There is a huge misconception about the acoustic guitar being the "first guitar you should learn on".

Now, as much as I love the sound and tone of an acoustic guitar, this idea of "having to start off" with one simply just isn't true. Most of the people who have never played guitar before are going to start off learning:

  • The Guitar Anatomy
  • Basic Chords
  • Scales
  • Reading Tablature

If the student is completely new to the world of guitars, they really don't need to worry about whether they are playing an acoustic or an electric. The only real deciding factor is just a preference to which style of music or genre the student is interested in learning.

Let's hear from you...

Perfect for Children with Smaller Hands

This Yamaha is a great beginner guitar for those younger students that have smaller hands. There is nothing wrong with starting out on a guitar that you can easily hold and position as a kid who has not yet grown enough to be able to hold a full scale guitar.

When a kid starts off playing, it can already be difficult and frustrating enough to learn chords and train their hands to play them seamlessly. If the guitar is also too big for them, that is a recipe for disaster and could result in them losing interest altogether.

This guitar bundle pack is fantastic and is also manufactured by Ibanez Guitars. They have a massive loyal fan base, due to not only their quality products, but also their sponsored artists.

The best part about this bundle is all the accessories that come with it:

  • Gig Bag
  • Guitar strap
  • Clip on Tuner
  • Picks
  • Allen Wrench Set

Any of these three acoustic guitars will get the job done, but most importantly - they won't break the bank!

Let's hear from you...

ELECTRIC GUITARS...Which one is for you?

Electric Guitars

Lets Get Loud!

When people first think about Electric Guitars, they generally think it is for advanced players that just love to get overly loud and distorted and that they have to shell out a huge chunk of cash in order to purchase one.

Yes, Electric Guitars have to ability to get loud very quickly and add distortion to that breathtaking/goosebumps-inducing situation. But, this doesn't change the misconception about Electric Guitars not being for beginners...OR buying one is way too expensive. This just simply is NOT true.

I can prove to you below that when purchasing an electric guitar it can be:

  • Affordable
  • Customizable
  • 100% for Beginners that don't want to play acoustic

Davison Starter Pack

Let's Start with Price over Quality...

This Davison Guitar Bundle pack isn't necessarily the greatest guitar ever built, nor is it a brand name. But, the beautiful thing about it is that it doesn't claim to be either of those things!
This Guitar was manufactured for the sole purpose of providing a budget-friendly guitar bundle to get people started that weren't interested in the acoustic alternative. This guitar on its own is a pretty thrifty deal, but the value of this whole package is includes:

  • Gig Bag
  • Gig Amo
  • Picks
  • Guitar Strap

If you have a younger kid who wants to ROCK and doesn't like the idea of an Acoustic Guitar, this is the right call at the right price! Let him/her beat this guitar up and you feel happy knowing that at least you didn't invest a huge chunk of change into something that is a learning process!

Rogue Starter Pack

One Step Above the Others...

Here is a terrific Electric Guitar Bundle pack that is just one step above the Davison. The reason why is because this Rogue Starter pack has a guitar that is just a little bit better quality and it has a lot more customized colors to choose from! Sometimes the guitar feels and plays perfect, but the color? Not so much...

What if you or your kid is the type of person who doesn't like red? Perfect! They have blue. Done like blue? Cool, they have black.

Do I need to go on?

Perks of this bundle are:

  • Gig bag
  • Picks
  • Gig Amp
  • Allen wrenches

Ibanez Starter Pack

Last but not least...

The last of the selection comes in at a little bit higher price. The good news is that even though it's more expensive, you're getting a very cherry guitar. And no, I don't mean the color.

Ibanez Guitars are one of the leaders in the guitar world. They specialize in great quality and feel. They also sponsor some of the greatest guitar shedders of all time!

This starter pack gives you everything you need to get started - even 24 frets on the neck for you over ambitious starters!

Other accessories include:

  • Gig Bag
  • Gig Amp
  • Strap
  • Picks
