Happy Birthday, Alan Rickman, Rest in Peace

Updated on March 14, 2016

As we all know, Alan Rickman passed away on January 14, 2016. This famous actor died from Pancreatic cancer, the seventh most common type of cancer, at the age of 69.

If he had lived for 38 more days, he would have reached his 70th birthday, February 21, 2016.

Happy birthday, Alan Rickman.

But I think 69 is a pretty cool number, too. Flip it upside down, it's still the same number.
Also, when adding the factors of 69, you get its reversal, 96 (1 + 69 + 23 + 3 = 96).
According to mathematics, 69 is a lucky number.

Rest in peace, Alan Rickman. You have passed away, but your memory will be forever lasting.

Let February the 21st always be remembered as your birthday.

Alan Rickman was an awesome actor, and I particularly like his part in the Harry Potter series, as Severus Snape.

Severus Snape is arguably the most complex man in the entire series, being cold and unfairly strict at some points, then being noble and loyal at others. Alan Rickman was able to portray the imposing demeanor and the haunted expression of Severus Snape's face wonderfully, making me feel each scene in my heart.

Unfortunately, Alan Rickman never did live up to 80, or 70 for that matter. But you get the point. Like when Severus Snape said "Always", referring to his love of Lily, Alan Rickman was referring to his love of everything about Harry Potter.

Daniel Radcliffe, the "Boy-who-lived", posted a sweet message on Google+ when our beloved actor passed away:

"Alan Rickman is undoubtedly one of the greatest actors I will ever work with. He is also, one of the loyalest and most supportive people I've ever met in the film industry. He was so encouraging of me both on set and in the years post-Potter. I'm pretty sure he came and saw everything I ever did on stage both in London and New York. He didn't have to do that. I know other people who've been friends with him for much much longer than I have and they all say "if you call Alan, it doesn't matter where in the world he is or how busy he is with what he's doing, he'll get back to you within a day".

So, let's call out to Alan Rickman and shout, "Happy birthday!"
