Harry Potter 7

Updated on June 1, 2011

Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows

There are currently two parts for the movie in the seventh installment of the widely popular and sometimes controversial Harry Potter series and franchise. Although some may view it as a blatant form of milking a cash cow, the prolixity of the seventh book and the end of the series is really deserving of two separate movies that is likely to add up to quite a few hours spent in the theaters watching the british trio take on the dark lord voldemort. You should probably watch the first part before the second part of Deathly Hallows come out in the middle of July. You could get it on dvd at a price under a dozen bucks.

It is also ultimately a story about Severus Snape and there are some spoilers about it. If you have not read the book then you really should! It puts a really good resolution to the ambiguity and conflict.

There are also quite a lot of games taking advantage of the Harry Potter franchise, which can also mean more money for J K Rowling to donate to charity. Lego has even made not only physical lego brick pieces based off the story but even created video games based on the movies and is available for pretty much every platform from the PC to PS3 to the Xbox 360 or the wii where you can wave it around like a wand. Alternatively one could always buy many of the replica toy wands out there and relive a forgotten childhood.
