Who is Heidi Klum?

Heidi Klum, a German supermodel has been a part of the modeling community for many years. A native of Bergisch, Gladbach Germany, Klum got into modeling after winning a modeling contest at the young age of 18. Prior to this, Klum had aspirations to become a designer. Klum is also well known for her longtime marriage to British singer Seal, now her ex-husband. Before her marriage to Seal, she was previously married to Ric Pipino from 1997-2002. This article will not cover any of Heidi's movie and acting work and it will not address her family life. This article is designed to give readers a brief look into the life and career of this famous German woman.

Heidi moves to New York City and then becomes famous

After securing a modeling contract, Klum then moved to New York City and got started with Victoria’s Secret. Any person that is interested in fashion would remember that name. I was watching those fashion shows over a dozen years ago. You could say that this is when Heidi’s modeling career rose to new heights. Klum became known famously for her appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and this happened in 1998. Klum has also made appearances in other famous magazines such as Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire.

A Brief look at Heidi's modeling career

Heidi’s first runway appearance came in 1997 and in 1998, she became the first German supermodel to be on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. I like Heidi for her down to earth personality and her overall enjoyment of life. Watching all of those Victoria’s Secret Fashion shows made me see the soft side of Heidi Klum. We can all learn from her right?
