Who Is Silas's Next Victim?
Do You Believe That Silas Will Kill His Daughter Heidi?
Hollyoaks fans have been gripped by the Silas murders and are eagerly anticipating the terrifying climax. As we know, Silas has been terrorising Lynsey, before setting her a deadly task. Lynsey has until midnight on Halloween to correctly name his next victim, if she guesses correctly he will hand himself into the police and spare the young girls life, but if she gets it wrong he will kill her.
Silas picks out Theresa, Texas, Amy and Lynsey as his potential victims, marking each one with chess pieces. Lynsey is horrified when she discovers a chess queen with a note attached saying 'Closer than you think' and confides in new Ally Doug. A scared Lynsey goes off to warn Texas and Theresa of Silas sick plans, but unfortunately both girls think Lynsey has gone mad and tell her to leave them alone. Later Lynsey receives a gift box containing a Cat woman costume, attached to it is a flyer for Fright Night at Chez Chez, and a note which reads 'Wear It'. Lynsey has also received a Jack 'O' Lantern containing an alarm clock with a note that read 'Tick Tock time is running out'.
Halloween arrives and all the villagers have turned up to Fright Night hosted by Chez Chez, a frantic Lynsey turns up dressed as Cat woman, however some of the other woman including Texas are also dressed the same as her and are also carrying the same bag. Theresa is dressed as Little Red Riding Hood so if it really is the woman in the Cat woman costume that dies then that rules Theresa out. And Amy is dressed in black trousers and top with red devil horns, however she is heading off to an after party with Ste when her shift ends so there is a possibility that she changes into a proper costume before she goes. Meanwhile Silas has been to the Mcqueen's house and dropped of a pumpkin teddy for baby Angel. He then makes his way to Chez Chez where he lurks about waiting to strike dressed as the Grim Reaper. During the night, Doug panics that Lynsey is telling the truth and tries to warn Ethan, but after seeing Lynsey's erratic behaviour he thinks its another one of her stories and refuses to believe it. Meanwhile Texas has left the party, but Dodger phones her to try to talk her into coming back, does she return? A desperate Lynsey is trying to warn the girls of their fate but they shrug her off, at one point Lynsey jumps on the microphone and screams for everyone to take their masks off as she knows Silas is among them and doesn't know who is who, but as she warns them all there is a murderer in their midst, the party goers just laugh at her, Lynsey soon realises that everyone thinks she has gone mad, and with nobody believing what she is saying, she gives up and makes her way home. However someone has watched her leave and follows her out the club. Meanwhile Heidi turns up to the party, but what is she dressed as??
Meanwhile chained up down in the Cellar, a frightened Mercedes health begins to deteriorate, has she gone into premature labour? and if so will her and the baby make it out alive? As midnight strikes we will see a woman dressed as Cat woman outside talking on her phone, Silas sneaks up behind the mystery woman and kills her with a brick to the head. Viewers will be left stunned when the victims mask is taken off and the the true identity of the latest victim is revealed. Although no one will be more shocked than Silas who discovers he has killed the wrong woman, but who is it? Could it be his own daughter?
Over The Next Week
The villagers are all grieving after the latest murder. Meanwhile Riley begins to suspect Silas again, but unbeknown to him, Silas still has Mercedes in the cellar and is about to pay her another visit. Later the McQueen's receive some devastating news. The McQueen's are determined to see justice done, but will they take matters into their own hands? Meanwhile Silas has one last game to play, and while the McQueen's rally round a heartbroken Riley, Silas prepares for his final game, does he strike again??
1. "This girl has proved lucky in the art of escape, but her luck runs out the longer you take" Texas escaped when Silas killed her sister India instead of her. Theresa had a lucky escape when Silas killed Rae instead. Lynsey herself escaped Silas the night Riley heard her screams.
2. Silas said to Lynsey in a phone conversation "I once had to teach Little Angel a valuable lesson about cheating in the game. Despite much speculation this is not really a clue and is not relevant to Silas's latest game, Silas was referring to Bex who tried to cheat by attempting to drug Silas drink. He taught Bex a lesson when he swapped their drinks meaning she ended up drugged making it easier for Silas to kill her. On the other hand this revelation was what made Doug start believing Lynsey's claims, as she would not have known what Bex's online chat name was unless she was told.
3. "Any clue i give to you will be as much use as the 4th sunday in lent is to her" Surely this means that the intended victim is not a mother, as mothers day is useful to a mother? Although it could mean the victim doesn't have a mother, but as all four girls do then I assume it means the victim is not a mother herself meaning it could very well be Texas although the clue points towards Lynsey as well.
4. "If you want to know who is going to lose their head, look to the girl who's in someone else's bed" This could mean any of them although three of them slept on the sofa, and only Theresa was actually in someone else's bed.
5. "Closer than you think" I believe this means that Lynsey has already said the victims name, Theresa or Texas or Amy. Or perhaps it means that it is Lynsey herself?
The Relevance of the Chess Pieces
In an episode of Hollyoaks Later, Silas said to Will "To get checkmate, you must remove the queen before you strike." Lynsey has the queen chess piece, so Silas has given her this task to get her out the way, giving him opportunity to strike. Texas has the King chess piece making her Silas's main target, while Theresa and Amy both have pawns as they are merely pawns in his game. A lot of people are wondering why Amy is a possible target at all, i don't think Amy was ever a real target for Silas, he just added her to the game when Lynsey started to suspect she was a possible victim. In fact Lynsey has actually suggested all of the possible victims to Silas.
Silas Kills Heidi, but Will He Tell Police Where Mercedes Is?

Silas can be seen preparing some rope, he then turns to Mercedes and says "None of this does matter anymore, all i want to do is walk outside and feel the sun on my face one last time." Mercedes who is briefly filled with a glimmer of hope, replies "Me too." However Silas looks at her with hateful eyes and says "knowing that you never will." Silas looks on almost helpless as Lynsey smashes the Urn to the floor, and there hidden in his dead wife's ashes are all the rings from his young victims. Silas cries "what have you done to her?" Then Riley spots the ring in Silas hand, and asks "Why have you got Mercedes ring?" They all stand there in shocked, but strangely no one looks more shocked than Silas himself.
Riley sends Lynsey home, and with his anger and frustrating quickly building he grabs Silas and screams at him "what have you done to Mercedes?" Jason and Seth walk in to the bedroom and are confused by the scene. Riley shouts at Silas to tell them what he has done, but Silas can't bring himself too. Meanwhile Lynsey has phoned both the police and the McQueen'sto tell them about Silas. While Lynsey is waiting for the Police to turn up, she bumps into Texas, Nancy and Cheryl who are stunned by her revelation. The police turn up and arrest Silas who is still refusing to tell Riley what has become of his Fiancée. As Silas is taken out of the pub, Texas asks him what he did with her sister, Silas looks at Texas with his evil glare and says "It was supposed to be you". The McQueen's also turn up and start banging on the police car begging for Silas to tell them where Mercy is but he just stares at them and remains silent. After seeing Silas carted of in the police car, everyone is in no doubt that Lynsey has been telling the truth all along but as they try to make amends, Lynsey shouts at them that they all, have those dead girls blood on their hands, before storming off.
While at the police station awaiting news on Mercy, the McQueen's comfort a heartbroken Riley. Meanwhile in the interview room, Silas is still refusing to cooperate.
