Hollywood Movies 2016 that were quite Fast and Furious in Making the Directors Bankrupt
While Hollywood movies such as Don't Breathe, Sing Street, Midnight Special, 10 Clover field Lane, Pete's Dragon, The Conjuring 2, The Jungle Book, Dead pool and most importantly, Captain America: Civil War were among those movies that had a huge blast on the box office and earned more than 80% positive response from film critics, there are some movies, on the other hand, who could not even earn at least 40% positive response from users. Let's have a look on them and their IMDb as well as Rotten Tomatoes Ratings.
1. Meet the Blacks
Star Cast: Mike Epps, Zulay Henao, Mike Tyson
Plot/Summary: After stealing a large amount of money from an infamously famous criminal in Chicago, Carl Black plans to move Beverly Hills with his family to live in their beautiful new home, but the situation turns worse when the night time approaches and crime becomes legal.
Reviews: Despite of being a comedy movie, it does not have any strong and funny dialogues as well as there is nothing called as good acting in it that could catch audience attention. According to The Guardian, Bresha Webb is the only actress whose on-screen character’s comic performance could provide any noticeable impact. Most of the viewers remarked that the movie was quite torturing rather than funny.
1. Hot Bot
Genre: Comedy, Sci-fi
Star Cast: Zack Pearlman, Doug Haley, Cynthia Kirchner
Plot/Summary: Hot Bot is a science fiction turned comedy movie that pictures the hilarious story of two teenage geeks who are highly unpopular as well as sexually introverted. After some time, they happen to discover a robot whose moments are quite life-like and resembles to a super model, also termed as a sex bot.
Reviews: The music in movie does not have anything new and was also heard in another movie by the name Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. According to viewers, the movie is truly dreadful and unable to give even a small moment of striking performance. The movie totally lacks in its story line as well as in delivering something different. It is not even a one-time watch. Instead of watching this movie, go for Hangover, at least it has Bradley Cooper.
2. Nine Lives
Star Cast: Jennifer Garner, Kevin Spacey, Malina Weissman
Plot/Summary: Due to workaholic and hectic lifestyle, Tom Brand, the billionaire, keeps a distance from his family that includes his wife and daughter. On her daughter’s 11th birthday, he plans to give her a cat from a mysterious store, but on his way to home he meets with an accident and gets trapped inside the cat’s body.
Reviews: Though, the story sounds good to hear, but in reality the movie does not have that spark that we expected it to have. If you are going to watch this movie, then do not expect it to have a good acting, comedy as well as story. If you wish to feel sorry for someone, then it is the cat. I do not think so that kitten would work for any other movie now.
3. Fifty Shades of Black
Star Cast: Marlon Wayans, Kali Hawk, Jane Seymour
Plot/Summary: The movie is a comedy pastiche of the erotic and romantic 2015 movie, Fifty Shades of Grey. Hannah is a college student who, for her roommate's school newspaper, goes to Black Enterprises for interviewing Christian Black. Black quickly finds out about girl's innocence and clumsiness, so he tries to lure her. Despite knowing her illegal way of making money, she falls in love with me, but she later discovers that she is not a romantic type.
Reviews: The movie was able to gross quite more than its budget, but was able to offer only fewer laughs with lots of gaps that could be filled with some actual humour.
4. Norm of the North
Genre: Action, Comedy
Star Cast: Voice of Rob Schneider, Heather Graham, Ken Jeong
Plot/Summary: Norm is a name of the polar bear that is incapable of hunting but does know how to talk to humans, which is also his unique ability. When the billionaire Mr. Greene reveals his plan of building houses in the Arctic, Norm along with his three vexatious lemmings stows away on a ship to the New York City, where he meets an ally that helps him to destroy Mr. Greene’s plans.
Reviews: Besides the 3D animation, there was no spark in the whole movie and even the polar bear Norm failed to impress the viewers. It had a weak story line and performances. According to film critics, the movie was cheap, cheerless, devoid of charm and entertainment value.
5. Cabin Fever 2016
Star Cast: Samuel Davis, Gage Golightly, Matthew Daddario
Plot/Summary: The movie is remake of 2002 film of the same name. A group of college graduates plan to go in a distant cabin where they are attacked by flesh eating virus that starts to kill them one by one.
Reviews: The movie story is pretty good, but if you have already watched the old version of this movie released in 2002, then you will surely find it boring and useless. Cabin Fever 2016 is an exact replica of 2002 movie and does not give anything new. Every scene including many dialogues, as well, is exactly same as that of old one. If you wish to watch a movie, go for Cabin Fever 2002, which is much better than this one.
