most prestigious musical foundation in Korea. She has made 4 CD's and has played in more than 25 countries world-wide, including Carnegie Hall in New York City. She has done extensive charity work including Goodwill, UNICEF, and others. She is also a scuba diver, competitive skier and a 3rd degree Black belt in Taekwondo. Whew!
Beauty Pageant Hottie
Honey Lee competed as Miss Seoul in the 50th Miss Korea pageant and won. This allowed her to enter Miss Universe. Before the pageant, Honey was an early favorite, thanks to her beauty, brains and diverse talents. (She plays the gayageum, a Korean folk instrument and is a 3rd degree Black belt in Taekwondo) For the national garb portion, Honey wore the Korean Hanbok.
Many believe Honey missed out on her title due to the question and answer section, in which the translator mis-interpreted her wanting to do something humanitarian with her money to being a gold digger. She got 3rd runner-up and ended Korea's losing streak in the Miss Universe Finals. (A drought which has gone on since 1988 with Miss Jang Yun-Jeong).
