Tamannaah Bhatia was born on December 21, 1989. She began acting when she was 13 and was a member of Mumbai's Prithvi Theater for one year, but her career took off in 2005 with her role in the Hindi film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra. That same year she appeared in the Telugu movie Sri and two years later she made her first Tamil film, Kedi.
In 2009, Tamannah appeared with Dhanush in the successful Tamil film Padikathavan. Another big Kollywood hit released the same year was Ayan, in which Tamannaah appeared with Suriya.
In 2010, Tamannaah appeared with Karthi in Paiyaa. In 2011 she had two commercial successes: 100% Love and Siruthai. That year Tamannaah completed six Kollywood films.
