How I met Your Mother review

Updated on May 30, 2013

To start off, I actually did not like the show at first. The premise was kind of different because he is telling his kids all these things about how he met the love of his life. It did not interest me, because he is telling them everything. Until I watched the third season of the first episode with Enrique Iglesias, the episode was funny. Also Enrique was hot of course. The show got my attention and I really wanted to know how he met her. When they started showing reruns on Lifetime and FX, I wanted to know how it all began and how the friends met. I have grown to like the show and their antics. The writing is very clever. The lines they for Barney and Marshall especially are hilarious. My favorite character has to be Marshall played by Jason Segal. He's sweet, cute and does not care what other people think of him. He met Lily, played by Alyson Hannigan, in college and knew she was the love of his life. The character Ted, played by Josh Radnor, is a nice guy but he gets very picky when it comes to finding his love. Marshall told him about that in the first season when they were sword fighting. Telling him that he cannot be able to enjoy anything. He thought Robin, played by Colbie Smulders was his future wife when he saw her across the room. They dated for a year but he learned more about her and she wants to travel and be a well known journalist who does not want kids or to be married. The other best character is Barney, played by Neil Patrick Harris. He's charming. witty and insecure. I like the fact that even though he lies to women to get into bed, he knows he does not want to settle down. Ted however keeps saying that he is ready to be married but either breaks up with them early or does something in the relationship he will regret. He's always saying he has bad luck with but he's just dating the wrong women and is always going back to relationships that were terrible. Barney knew that he was in love with Robin when he couldn't stop thinking about her, he wanted to be next to her and actually cuddle with her. Now they are engaged to be married. Ted says he wants that but it does not happen yet. I am glad that it finally happened for him but it took a lot of good/bad things to happen before his dream girl came to his life. Over the years it is one of the most talked about high rated shows in the world and people want to know when Ted is getting married. Season Nine is coming soon so we will finally meet her.
