Thanks Pollyanna, I keep meaning to compile another one. They're good fun, but quite time-consuming to put together.

This was great fun! I did terribly. I hadn't used a quiz on Hubpages before, and it was great to see how effective they are.

Hi Quizmaster, I have trouble remembering names and places too. Often I have a rough idea, but when faced with a multiple choice of similar answers I just have to take a wild guess! Thanks for stopping by!

I have a big problem remembering news, names and places etc..

Still, taking the quiz refreshed my memory and I enjoyed it.

Thanks for taking the time making it for us.

Hi 2patricias, I had to look most of this up myself. The difficult bit was finding a scattering of world news rather than keeping it UK focussed. Thanks for stopping by.

This was fun - but it is depressing how little I remember.

Hi C.J.Wright, Glad you enjoyed the quiz. It took a surprising amount of time to put together, but it was fun to do. Thanks for commenting.

That was fun! Got most correct. I'm going to use the widget in a hub I think. Thanks for sharing!

    Hi Attempted Humour,

I think the noughties were pretty naughty too, but maybe not quite in a saucy way, which might have been fun. Good to hear from you BTW. Thanks for commenting.

    Hi Amillar,

Yes there is a quiz widget. I spotted it a while back, and thought I'd put a quiz together just to try it out. Personally I'm a big fan of quizzes and puzzles, but maybe they're just a distraction from real life!

Hi Amanda, that was a bit of fun to stretch the mind at 11-PM. If the Twenties were roaring then it must be the naughty noughties. Cheers

    Hi Amanda,

That's neat, the way you did that. Is there a quiz widget?

I'm not much good at general knowledge. The only general I know about is General Custer, and making a general nuisance of myself. It was fun anyway.

Hi Bob, never mind dumbo you, it's actually dumbo me! I just went back over the answers and found that two of them were wrong. How bad is that? That'll teach me for pressing the publish button without editing first, just 'cos I'm in a hurry. (I don't usually do that BTW!) You'll score higher if you go through it again.....

You mean you can't see the results!? Well...well, I did get, er, in the high 99.9 percentile...is that good? And, yes, I was Santa, no fooling you is there...Bob (I got 60% Ha!)

Hi Bob. Was it you by any chance? (Father Christmas, that is.) I know you're by no means stoopid BTW. I bet you did much better than you're letting on. x

Hi Lynda, well done! I tried to choose a spread of questions to suit an international audience. Not sure how successful I was, but glad you enjoyed it.

I used to like you, Amanda, until you just made me feel incredibly stoopid! Have a fairly nice Christmas!

(Who was Father Christmas in the late 1990's for General Motors?). No cheating on Wikipedia!!! Bob x
