The World Is Reacting to the Birth of Baby Sussex
Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child into the world on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 5:26 a.m. Within a few seconds after the announcement was made that the royal baby was born, news about the birth became the biggest story around the world. According to The Sun, the birth of the baby became front page news even without any photos.
The media has little information to report for the first couple of days after the birth. The only things reported were that the child is a boy and the date and time of his birth as well as giving his weight to be 7 pounds and 3 ounces. On Wednesday, May 8, the proud parents appeared with the baby as the Duke of Sussex held him in his arms for all to see. The very next day, it was announced that the royal couple had named their firstborn Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Royal Family Reacts
Prince Harry was beside his wife when she gave birth. He spoke to the media briefly on Monday. He said his wife and son are doing great and he is "over the moon." He added that the birth of his son has been the most amazing experience he could ever have imagined. Then he complimented all women who give birth.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge haven't seen their nephew yet. They said they are excited about the news and are looking forward to seeing the family of three in the next few days when things have quietened down.
Prince William also joked that he's very pleased and glad to welcome his own brother into the sleep deprivation society. The older brother added that he has a lot of advice to share with his younger brother. Prince William knows well what being a parent of young children is like because he has three little ones, six-year-old Prince George, four-year-old Princess Charlotte, and one-year-old Prince Louis.

According to the Royal Family Instagram account, the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, and Earl Spencer are all delighted with the news. Queen Elizabeth also discussed the arrival of her eighth great-grandchild during an event at Windsor Castle with Prince Philip.
Prince Charles is on his way to Germany with Duchess Camilla. The grandfather said they couldn’t be more delighted by the news. He added that they are looking forward to meeting the baby when they return, according to Sky News.

Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, is currently at Frogmore Cottage and is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild. Doria has been in the United Kingdom since late April. This is her first grandchild. After all, Meghan is her only child, and they are extremely close.
