How to Gain a Following Like Kim Kardashian

Updated on August 13, 2018

There Is a Method to the Madness

The average person has heard of the Kardashian family, but has no idea who they really are or why they're even famous. All we know is that they're loaded, and they just keep getting richer and richer! So how did they get that way? What's the secret?

Don't Stay "Low Key"

Unfortunately, people see a meme on social media and truly believe that it's the gospel for success. Currently, the most popular saying online is to "move in silence" and stay "low key." While this is recommended for your personal life, you should never remain silent about your professional goals and dreams!

If you don't put your name out into the world and remove yourself from obscurity, no one is ever going to know, or even care about who you are. Use Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and any other form of media you have at your disposal to let people know why they should pay attention to you. When Kim Kardashian comes out with a new perfume or product, she doesn't stay silent about it. The Kardashian sisters are known for a dramatic entrance, and that's what you need to do!

Learn to Ride the Social Media Wave

If you really pay attention, you can see that all the "interesting" things that happen with the Kardashian family seem to occur at the same time as other big events in the public eye. For example, as soon as the Vogue magazine cover of Beyonce' came out, Kim Kardashian followed up with her event. Her statue-like pose in Kanye West's new "Yeezy" shoes exploded across the web in a montage of memes. While everyone is hanging out and laughing at the photos, Kim Kardashian is making money based on her page views alone!

Find out what's trending today, even if you have no interest in it. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter what it is as long as it provides you with plenty of exposure.

Create Passive Income

Many times people will tell you to specialize in one niche, and get as deeply involved in it as possible. Kim Kardashian has done the complete opposite in her life, she's divulged in many different opportunities for business. From modeling, to a clothing store, to fragrances, a makeup line, and helping her sisters on the up and coming, Kim Kardashian has learned how to use every single thing at her disposal to create passive flows of income.

If she decided not to work on anymore projects for the rest of her life, Kim Kardashian would still have everything she wanted and needed for the rest of her, and her children's lives.

Create a Brand for Yourself

If you have great ideas but you don't have anything to recognize them by, your efforts will go to waste. No matter how many products or businesses you're running, people have to be able to recognize you immediately. When you hear about certain designers or celebrities like Kanye West, you immediately associate them with Kim Kardashian. This isn't an accident, Kim doesn't care if you like her or not. All she needs is for the headlines and tabloids to recognize her as the most important thing in the news!

Go Down Every Avenue

The Kardashian family didn't stop at a TV show, they've dipped their toes in every possible form of social media available. Kylie Jenner announces the debut of her lip kits and cosmetic lines through Instagram shoots. Khloe Kardashian tends to pick fights and call out other celebrities, which isn't the smartest way to gain attention...but it's still attention. From radio stations to talk shows, you'll see them everywhere you go, even if you don't want to.

Consider starting a blog, or even better, a V-log (video blog) to get in better touch with your viewers. After all, you need exposure from every aspect of the press.

Try to Look Your Best At All Times

Even when you're not feeling up to it, it's important to look good whenever you're on camera or outside the house. You need to sell an image that you're a person who is well-put together and takes good care of themselves. Essentially, you want people to be like you!

Many of your peers will discourage you from doing this, saying that it isn't humble or that you're showing off. Don't listen to them, you are trying to create a following, and to do so you need to be appealing to the public eye.

Woah Vicky, Lil Tay, Boonk Gang, and Personalities Such As These Should Be Avoided

While behaving like an imbecile might get you places for a little bit, that will eventually end. You'll end up looking like a fool, or get into serious trouble with the law. Be smart about how much bait you leave out, because people will eat it up and remember it forever; we all remember the Ray J fiasco. However, it's clearly a thing of the past as Kim has had 3 children since then. Now, she's helping her younger sisters Kylie and Kendall move up in the celebrity world.
