How To Become A Victoria's Secret Angel

1. Check Your Measurements.

Ideally your height should be 5’9″ with body measurements of 34-24-34. Ford and Elite have varying height requirements. Be realistic. If your 5’2″ maybe you want to consider something else.

2. Get Healthy.

Victoria’s Secret Casting director Monica Mitro says "The first thing we look for really are healthy bodies, and energy. A lot of the fashion shows you see girls who can just walk and they’re just hangers with outfits hanging on them, but for Victoria’s Secret? It’s a show.”

Exercise and watch what you eat. Modeling Agents are known to use measuring tapes and encourage models to stay thin.

Also... get used to walking in your underwear.

3. Have Pictures Taken.

You’ll need pictures to get signed to a modeling agency. Pictures from professional photographers are prefered.

4. Get Local Modeling Agent

Let the industry know you're out there.

5. Meet The Right People

L.A Fashion photographer Robert Voltaire suggests you get to know Edward Razek, the man personally responsible for selecting Victoria’s Secret models, for the last 15 years. Edward Razek helped launch the modeling careers of models like Heidi Klum and Daniela Pestova.

6. Sign With Ford Or Elite Modeling Agencies In New York

Ford and Elite are the 2 modelings agencies who handle all Victoria’s Secret bookings. Call Ford and Elite and find out when they are having open casting calls.

7. Enter The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Competition

Victoria’s Secret schedules open calls in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Miami. Ladies only, you must be between 18 to 30 years old, at least 5’8″ tall barefoot and be a U.S citizen. I'm a body builder, 17, 5'6", and been told to be extremely photogenic, would you suggest I start getting into modeling next year?
