Hubber's Hymn

Updated on October 26, 2010

Sometimes I have problems coming up with new things to write about. Actually I should rephrase that. I have problems coming up with something I think people would like to read. I don't just want to write about a certain product that only aims towards 1,000 people. I would love to write something that 10's of thousands of people can enjoy. As I write this to you, I am still having problems coming up with my next topic, so I have written out a short poem-song that I'm sure fellow hubbers and bloggers alike can relate to. Hope you enjoy.

The Hubber's Hymn

I've been trying to think of Hubs that would really rock

But my mind has been stricken with writer's block

I can easily write a hub about any sport

But it seems these hubs always come up short

Or how about fitness or one about health

It seems everybody wants to lose some weight

But I wonder how high those hubs would rate

I just need on hub that can boost Adsense

I wish I had the skills of these UK Gents

It seems like they all have their words intact

I wonder if that's them though or just a big act

I want something real, Something that says this is me

Something entertaining, the whole world wants to see

I might as well face it, my mind is just stuck

I just wanted a hub that could make a few bucks

But I have to keep trying, I can't give up yet

I've come this far, Let's see how far I get

Maybe I'll write a hub about a movie review

But that wouldn't work either, those are old before they're new

It seems everybody has the inside scoop

I just need something pertaining to a particular group

Maybe I'm going about this wrong, or thinking too hard

I just need one hub, that one wild card

Why is this taking so long. This just isn't me

I know I've got it in me. Come on Jesse

I could write a good hub about blog success

But it seems those hubs only bring me stress

Always getting e-mails reading "thanks this helped a lot"

"Oh by the way can you help me get my Pagerank up a spot"

It just seems like none of these would get me ahead

So I think I'll just stick with this poem instead.

I can relate I did not get writers block, but trying to find something that is useful and entertaining for readers as well as me is sometimes a challenge. Thanks for the poem. I really enjoyed it.

I've not gained a penny from publishing hubs

I didn't come here to collect pay check stubs

I write to express what I feel deep inside

And to take fellow hubbers along for the ride

Ideas and topics aren't things that I lack

Some take the forefront and some rest in back

It isn't a matter 'tween better and worst

Just which sings the loudest thereby being first

If that that you strive for just stresses you out

Relax and take comfort things tend to work out.

Nice poem. Completely relatable. Some days I can crank out 2-4 hubs...other days...UGH.

Hang in there. As for me, I'm thinking candles, a hot bath and a good martini for inspiration. (seriously, I have 5 pre-teens over for a Halloween sleepover tonight. You have no idea how good a hot bath and a martini sound right now!!) There's got to be a great hub in this scenario somewhere!

A Martini would definitely be nice wouldn't it. Only thing I would change is the Bathtub to the Beach.

..always write from the heart .. and the mind will follow - and you have a beautiful mind - and a very very interesting profile because there's only one you - and that's very special to us - your readers!!!!
