I Am Number Four - The Review

Updated on April 11, 2013

Your Number's Next....

The start out of the movie was so-so. Not bad but as it progresses, I find it to be quite... I just don't know how to describe it. Frustrating isn't the word for it.

Anyway, John Smith (Alex Pettyfer) is an extraordinary teenager, not from Earth who is being chased and hunted by the Mogadorians. He is the fourth of the nine that are on Earth. The first three Loriens were killed and John is next. Together with his protector, Henry (Timothy Olyphant), they flee from one place to another to keep John safe from harm. John Smith is Number Four.

Sam (Cullan McAliffe) has a nice part in the movie. An alien aka UFO freak who believes in what he believes. He's more of a sidekick to John.

Sarah (Dianna Agron) plays the lover of John in this movie. I just don't see the spark between John and her. Their sudden passion of love is plain boring. I mean, Sarah could have been deleted from this movie cos she's really playing a lousy role here.

Number Six (Teresa Palmer) is one of the nine Loriens still alive. She seem to have powers of lightning speed as well as fire proofed. Together with John, Number Four, they both embark on a journey to find the others - Only after the set of Mogadorian got eliminated. I wonder how many more of them are available.

Right, so this movie lacks of its climax, too many useless scenes which could have been improved and the expected outcome of the movie is just devastating.

Towards the end of the movie, Number Four and Number Six held a Lorien stone each then fused them together. here, we see white auras being conducted through their hands, transmitting into the stone, into the other. Stone breaks, Six and Four stares at each other, like as if a secret was revealed to them, telling each other that they were meant for each other besides the location of the remaining ones but it did not turn out that way. Like what the heck? Six and Four should have been meant for each other, kicking Sarah out of the story and the story/journey continues.

I did a search and it seems that there MAY be two more movies after this one since there are three books altogether. Another saga...

I Am Number Four

The Power of Six

The Power of Six Unabridged

Hopefully, the second movie will be much better than this one since the second one will feature Number Seven.

So, it has been revealed that Five and Six are females.

Let's stay tuned and find out.
