1992 - I Love the 90's; Music, Television & Movies- Greatest Hits

Updated on May 31, 2013

Come Back....

You might remember 1992 for the huge Rodney King inspired riot in Los Angeles after the public learned of the not guilty verdict against the law enforcement officers that had beaten the infamous Rodney King. Or maybe you remember 1992 as the year Bill Clinton was elected President of the United States of America. I remember 1992 as the year I left elementary school and headed to middle school; that’s 6th grade in our district. This is the year that the little kid started to deteriorate and adolescence began impressing itself upon me. There is no doubt that what was coming out of the boom boxes and across the airwaves absolutely influenced how I grew up and who I am today. Check it out, I bet you remember too.

      Dearest Colin,

Really, ‘cause I could probably make that happen… for the sake of fulfilling dreams, of course. ;-) Awww, you’re too sweet, you just go ahead and get lost if you want to, at least I won’t be lost alone! :-)

I really did enjoy the link… I will be a repeat offender to YouTube… at least until I get my own copy. Something tells me I’d really enjoy some of those songs off in a quite serene setting.

29 you say? Damn you’re looking good for your age… ya gotta tell me your secret. You must tell me your birthday while you’re at it… that is certainly an occasion I mustn’t miss! My birthday is this month… are we close? May 24th over here! Excuse me… as I pick myself up from the ground after I flailed around laughing… not your arm! Hahahahahaha, you’re sooo funny! We must do lunch!

$200 for a license (etc.)? Geesh… does it come with dinner and a nightcap? Holy Macaroni!

And I will not call you Porky Colin unless you start replying with “Tttttttthat’s All Folks!”, but I will call you oh so wonderful, handsome, one of a kind, inspires everyone he touches COLIN! Yeah, that’s better! :-) You enjoy that scrumptious sounding meal and your beautiful walk, without a moment’s guilt!

You’re too sweet, I’m proud of my girl too, she’s got mommy’s bug… love of music, let’s just hope she develops a voice, unlike her mum!

      …the late 90’s right? 1990’s!!! That’s what I figured :-) 1890’s? PFFF! Stop it you!

Colin… you blow me away with each and every one of your writings, it doesn’t matter what the topic. Each time I read something of yours, my emotions get involved… yes it helps that I am so fond of you, but you truly are talented and so unique. I make all of your poems somehow relate to my life… I incorporate all of them and make them personal… (Trust me… sometimes that can be a challenge :-)

How could I possibly give you something you haven’t done yet? (I know you’ve got a gem over there waiting for me as we speak and I will be there shortly). Have you done any about cats? Obviously, I have a special kind of connection to you with the love of all your “cats”. That’d be cute… other than that… yes, Colin, I think you and I could both use a pick me up… how to lift yourself up after falling, I can always relate to that, especially now, during this awkward time in my life… but ya know what, it’s a little easier getting through the rough days knowing I’ve got you!

I’ll be rubbing sticks and stones together, making sparks ignite, cause the thought of loving you is getting’ so exciting! Woooo hooooo Colin, you ring my bell! Go ahead and give that Mister Gabriel and Little Miss Tiffy an extra big smooch from this Cat tonight… I’m feeling frisky! Rest well tonight dear, tomorrow is a new day, and I’m feeling a good one coming on!

      Your Cat

My dream one day is to see you recreate the infamous scene in Basic Instinct and replacing Sharon Stone ... lol lol lol lol lol - but there's only one problem I couldn't take my eyes off your beautiful eyes and everytime I see 'them' in your profile picture I just want to become lost forever . lol.

I am most glad that your daughter's gig went over well and that you enjoyed the link I sent you..

I got my picture taken today for my new driver's license as my 29th birthday is coming up and the lady before taking my picture said to me "to think of something beautiful" so I thought of you and she said "Sir will you please take your arm away from your chin and I said hey lady that's not my arm, lol lol lol

Okay your naughty boy from Cantuck is off for his walk around the bay of the lake on a beautiful warm summer's day here after spending $200 earlier getting his forementioned license, license plate and emissions testing in order to get the previous two; yeah they see you coming and what can you do - it's all just a big cash grab. So it's good to get back to the lake and have some bacon and eggs and two yeast filled donuts so you can now call me Porky Colin, lol , and having a nice cuppa green tea before I go for my stroll.

I am so proud of your daughter for being such a shining star but then again just look at her mom.

And yes back in the 90's I was in elementary school.

      The 1890's, lol.

You and I are kindred spirits because of our love of music and do you have any requests - I love challenges when it comes to my writing.

Thank you for this hub presentation as you are a strong, passionate and exciting young lady.

Sending warm wishes and 'afternoon delight' from Mister C, Mister Gabriel and Little Miss Tiffy who sit out back and conduct traffic in the neighborhood at lake erie time 4:34pm

      mr-veg,

Thanks for gracing my page... I know... I can't believe nobody from the hub has been over here; it's okay, they make sure to visit my others. It's funny, I originally intended to do a hub for each year of the 90's... I researched and have many of them half done, but they don't seem to be hub favorites... even weirder... they do really well outside of HP, I have consistent views on my 80's and 90's hubs, just all from outsiders. I just like looking back and remembering the times and songs that I was experiencing while I was growing up... seems so long ago all of a sudden. I'm glad you recognized some of the songs... and yes, I really like the ones you mentioned! Thanks for the compliments, you're awesome!

Thanks for stopping by, it's always so great to see you! I'll have to try to swing over your way tomorrow... I think my eyes are telling me that my day's about over :-)

      Thanks again,

      Cat
