Remembering a Icon

Michael Jackson has done it all in the music business and will be remembered forever in the hearts of his millions of fans.

He has been a inspiration to millions and will continue to inspire people to really work hard at singing and dancing.

I will never forget when I first saw him do the moon walk, and I think that he re-invented the music business , with everything from his music videos to his awe inspiring live shows, I know a ton of boy bands copied his every move and his music, when I think of how he sacrificed so much of his childhood to work for his father and brothers it truly saddens me, I know that in the later part of his life after he had been though all of the plastic surgeries and lawsuits where Michael was accused of inappropriate behavior with the kids etc that he was planning on just doing one more tour and retiring, in fact they even made a movie about Michael's plan after his death titled "This is it" , I have not been able to see the movie yet but I am going to see it soon if I have to buy it. In my lifetime there has only been one person who dominated music and it was Michael Jackson, so much in fact that they even called him the King of pop and I think they did that to separate Michael from Elvis.

When I heard that Michael had died I honestly cried, it hurt my heart because I think that the world has lost a true Icon a father, musician, brother, son, more.

Michael Jackson is gone but will never be forgotten, he will live forever in the hearts and minds of his fans, I know he is in heaven now smiling that sweet smile and that does bring me comfort.

God bless us all ;0)

I need 20 people to help me reach my dream.

@ Laura in Denver - I was to, I think he was a ICON and a great person even though the media and everyone attacked him and accused him off things he didn't do, I wonder what is going on in the Conrad Murray trial?

    Do you know

Thank you so much for the link to Motown 25.

I memorized his every move from this when I was the new kid in Houston and friendless.

No shit, I have my hand-made MJ sequined glove out on my coffee table today.

Great Hub! Yes he was the KING of POP. Greatly loved too, I will never forget him and all the accusations, well, I don't believe that he would honestly harm anyone!

(that is my opinion) That was a famous person vs. greed.

They needed money and saw that opportunity to deceive. God Bless you Michael Jackson You are truly missed!

manthy, fame pays off, but fame is also cruel. Many talanted people have their own issues, in fact most do. Michael was brilliant, but that did not stop him from having issues, such as the plastic surgery one, and the feeling that he had lost out on being a child. Money does not buy contentment, and can bring a great deal of mistrust, but it is hard to walk away from. Michael Jackson had a wonderful, but tragic life, and like so many famous talants, it appears he had problems handling his fame. Who wouldn't? Especially, the accusations of child sexual abuse, the worst kind of attention one can experience. I hope God exists, and that there is love and support for all of us, without discrimination against the rich or poor. Good hub.
