If A Man Wants To Sing The Blues

If A Man Wants To Sing The Blues

by: Chuck RitenouR

verse 1:
He's only happy when them ole stage lights are cookin' his brains
and he only feel real good when he's bending them guitar strings
but when the show is over, you'll find him all alone in his room
that's how its got to be, if a man wants to sing the blues.

verse 2:
He's got one good suit and a pair of raggedy ass blue jeans
He does odd jobs here and there to get him through them in-betweens.
Lord above, knows how long he's been paying them dues
that's how its got to be, if a man wants to sing the blues.

chorus:
if a man wants to sing the blues, he's got to have no place to go.
and if he has wants and needs, well he never lets it show.
if he's got a broken heart and he's been made a fool.
well, that's how its got to be, if a man wants to sing the blues.

verse 3:
you might see him one day riding in a long black cadillac
but the next time you see him, well he'll be busted flat
walking down the road wearing holes in the soles of his shoes
but that's how its got to be, if a man wants to sing the blues.
yeah, that's how its got to be, if a man wants to sing the blues.

the end.

The blues as an art form was first introduced by many well known artists,

In fact Howlin Wolf was one that represented that best in blues !

A mere notion of happy turned sad music,

Which did appeal to the mass population !
