Impressionist Dave Burleigh - Audition and Predictions For America's Got Talent 7

Updated on May 16, 2012

Dave Burleigh is a comedian and impressionist. Melissa Villasenor competed in Season 6 of America's Got Talent and made it pretty deep. Dave auditioned for Season 7 in San Francisco. This means he needs to pass the Las Vegas audition round to perform for America's vote in the live shows.

Dave has limitations similar to Melissa. He is a hit-and-miss style. For example, his Owen Wilson is great. Apparently, Wilson is relatively easy to impersonate because even Melissa did a spot-on impression of him last year. But like Villasenor, Burleigh misses the mark completely on some impressions. His Bruce Willis was horrible.

An impressionist could potentially win AGT. After all, Terry Fator already won Season 2. Of course, Fator had loads of other skills to help him along the way. He was funny. But more importantly, he was also a great singer who could actually do impressions of great singers. People like Dave Burleigh are just not on the same level in overall talent.

Have a look at Jimmy Fallon doing a guest appearance on America's Got Talent in the YouTube video embeddded below. Every impression he does is near perfect. Because Burleigh is just not on that level, my prediction is he will meet with limited success on the 7th season of America's Got Talent. If given a chance in the voting rounds, he might get past one round because he has a limited amount of impressive material. But after that, his weaknesses will show, and I predict he will run out of steam.
