In The Heart Of Nature

Updated on May 8, 2012

The beauty, the tranquility of nature is infinite! Any intensity of adornment is just not enough when it comes to describe and capture the beauty Mother nature offers!

When I moved from my hometown to Dehradun for college, I fell in love... with nature, its creations and the artistic essence in them! Located in the hills of Uttarakhand India, Dehradun is place of exquisite beauty which can be stood and admired for eternity!

Away from the hustle bustle and daily dust of city life, I found peace, calm and patience when I started to enter the depth of nature this place had to offer!

I share my experience here with my hub family in an effort to express my love for the divine character I got lost in :)

Source

At the heart of nature I sit

Lost in tranquility

Lost in thought

Lost in beauty

Source

Thy light falls from behind the leaves

Ushers in enlightenment and peace

A calmness I feel as a Look upon thee

A heart, brightly lit... is what I see

Source

The lush the green the brown of rock

Ecstasy beholds unbound

Admiration for the mother I infuse

I see light now.. light of God

I sit and brood at Robers Cave

Quietly It speaks of its vastness

The crevices and curves of dusty gold

No sculptor ever cast.. such a glaze

Source

Among the expanse of green and brown

I see the light to me it is shown

Amid the beauty no law upholds

I feel reborn, redeemed, I remould

There is life in these rocks

They silently speak

Tell tales unknown

I get lost as I wander... sweetly meek

Source

Intricate carves made by air and water

Call for skills man has never known

Subtle curves fuse with pores

Seeds of beauty, within they are sown

Source

Beneath these leaves I sit and inhale

Air so fresh... I don't wish to exhale

Source

As evening strikes

Sun call upon me

I look at it's charm

I get lost in thee

Source

Ruler of sky, Leaves the court

Clouds yearn his presence

Surround, protect His Gold

Source

A day I lose in the expanses of eternal mother

So caressed I feel, About none I bother

I sit and revise all I have gone through

I look in the water, I see me now true

Reborn amid the wild pastures and sun

Divine waters and rocks, my past unmade undone

I feel naked, a child born in moon's glow

For My Eyes have opened... really opened now!

We've talked about architecture today and while men create wonders, I am getting tired of cities and everything artificial. If you look at nature, it is always ready to give you perfection in everything - in a drop of water, in a maple leaf, a butterfly, sky or the LIGHT. I am completely taken by the concept of light because the change is constant and miraculous. It almost changes the perspective of everything.

A very nice concept - to combine pictures with poetry. Simply beautiful.

The title of your piece of writing raised the hair on my arms. I love Mother Earth: Nature is Divine in my mind. I cannot thank You enough for honoring It.

I agree with Kallini (we agree on many things I think, haha ...) that the concrete jungle is rather tiresome and dull.

I love your cave photos! And when I came to where You wrote that: "Intricate carves made by air and water", I understood why I loved those photos especially: I am Air and Water, mostly.

What a treat of a read! Thank You so much, it was a lovely experience to see these photos and get a peak into your thoughts.

May Wakan Tanka guide your path! Cheers.

First, thank you Mr Happy for sharing this! Rahul, this was a fabulous poem. Mother Nature is mysterious, and (in my humble opinion) has been so hurt through the actions of humans, that she has hidden her most breathtaking beauty. There are a select few of us that are granted the opportunity to see Mother Nature in all her brilliance. She is smiling at you in appreciation my friend.

Rahul, agree with all others that this is a beautiful Hub. The poetic lines gradually reach a climax, and the pictures infuse the mystique into it. I understand you experiment a bit with photography too. These images seem touched up, is it so? If they are then, they are wonderfully rendered, that purple hue is so enchanting. Voted up beautiful and SHARING.

rahul0324, Opening up to unity with nature's sights and sounds is soothing. The next step, which you clearly achieved here, is immersion in the so-called silence of nature, the sounds in the silence, and to sense all that is there which is beyond the visible and audible spectra of daily life. Immersion brings a special sight, as you've described simply yet deeply: "A heart, brightly lit... is what I see."

Thank you for sharing this deep journey.

      Kind regards, Stessily

I admire your connection with nature, I am a city kid pretty much, and also a city slicker rather as an adult, but I do remember the times I been camping, and been out to the mountains.

Once I even been to Puerto Rico and explorer a rain forest there known as Mount Yunque, and so I felt somewhat one with nature as you've fully expressed here all throughout your beautiful poem.

Its tough for folks who are trapped behind walls, at home, and at work, also at school to see this side of things, but it isn't impossible for them to break free someday.

You my friend have accomplished just that here, and by expressing such compelling words shows your love of life as well. Awesome job Voted up and you don't have to worry about the sharing factors by me, you already know.

      Thankyou Rahul.

Nature has so many faces yet we cannot know what she is thinking because she is elusive and free and true only to herself. She is all around yet we do not see her, she is awesomely powerful but profoundly silent, she is terrible in her rage yet beautiful to go with it.

      Poets unite.

Tagore used to write some 'good' poems, in India. After Tagore, I don't see any originality around here (He was a Brahmin, by the way).

You write well. With time... let's see.

Do your college well, and then... we may see you published. Poetry is still good when you don't publish it. It's a part of you.

I don't comment much- because I can't lie so often. Good pictures.

Tagore's Poetry is soulful and unmatched in terms of skill and creative imagination! I also admire Sarojini Naidu, the Nightingale of India!.... A lot of soul in her words!

Its good to see honest feedback my friend:) Thank you!

Outstanding , my man. Absolutely outstanding. The photos, the poetry, the communing with nature- all lift this whole hub up to the heights of himalayas!

      My favorite lines...

There is life in these rocks

      They silently speak

      Tell tales unknown

I get lost as I wander... sweetly meek

Rahul, I agree with Docmo...this is lovely the way you take us along on your meditations on this nature walk, ending with your own enlightenment, and how beautifully expressed, reborn, in the moonlight." Awesome" falls short here, there should be something above we can vote, lol, voting up, AWESOME, and beautiful..

Rahul, I SO relate to this poem! Sitting in solitude with Mother Nature is uplifting, cleansing, reflective and allows purity to once again be absorbed by the soul. Taking time for yourself and choosing the setting to be the resplendence of Nature is, in my opinion, necessary to overcoming the strife and negativity everyday life thrusts upon us.

I love this poem and I love you even more, my brother. I can breathe you. I will feel you the next time I spend quiet time with Mother Nature. She sings a beautiful song, does she not?
