Indian Film Actresses 12 with Padma Lakshmi, Padmini, Padmini Kolhapure, Parminder Nagra and more
Here we are at my twelfth article about the women of Indian cinema.
Like the others, this one has women from all over India, (Bollywood, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada) plus some that have made a few appearances in Hindi cinema, but are mainly known for their work outside of it.
And I never realized just how popular the name "Pooja" was until I did this....
Indian American cookbook author, actress, and model Padma Lakshmi was born on September 1st, 1970 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Although she may be best known here for Top Chef, she has appeared all over the world, including the 2003 Bollywood film, Boom (that also had a cameo by Bo Derek!)
Padma started out in modeling, then went to acting doing several TV shows before making her big screen debut in the 2001 movie Glitter with Mariah Carey.
