Who is Ines Sastre?

Ines Sastre is a very famous and beautiful supermodel and movie actress. I have read about her for many years. Ines was born on November 21, 1973 in the city of Valladolid in Spain. She is five feet and nine inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. This Hub will focus primarily on her acting work which has spanned tow separate continents in an lmost two decade period.

How did Ines start her career in acting?

Ines got a start in her career at the young age of 12 when she appeared in a fast food commercial with McDonald’s. That is an interesting way for a person to start their career by appearing in a commercial like that. In 1988, Ines appeared in her first movie called El Dorado by Carlos Saura. That film was selected to be premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 1988. This is considered to be the start of Ines’ international acting career. In the following year of 1989, Ines was awarded for the look of the year by the Elite Modeling Agency. She was offered to continue her modeling career but she chose to dedicate her time to studying instead. That is a very smart decision in my opinion. Ines offered her perspective on how she got involved with fashion by saying that she has done it by passing through it. She has met nice people and then returned.

Ines Sastre refines her acting skills in Europe before starring in US films

Sastre would spend time in Italy where she would play for two very famous directors. She starred in Beyond the Clouds (1996). That film was directed by Michelangelo Antonioni. Her co-stars were John Malkovitch, Sophie Marceau, and Fanny Ardant. As a side note, Sastre also would do a documentary about that film. Sastre also starred in the Pupi Avati directed film The Best Man (1998). Sastre would also have roles in French cinema. She had the role of Epona in the film Druids (2001). That was directed by Jacques Dorfmann. Her co-stars were Max Von Sidow and Christoph Lambert. Ines has also co-starred with famous French actor Gerard Depardieu in the TV mini-series called The Count of Monte-Cristo. Ines’ travels would also take her to the United States where she would make an appearance in the movie Sabrina with Harrison Ford. That was the remake of the classic 1954 movie starring Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden. Ines Sastre would also star in The Lost City with Andy Garcia, Bill Murray, and Dustin Hoffman.
