"Inside of You": A Podcast Review
Sometimes when you're down and searching for some semblance of relief, you stumble upon something special. I sure did. That something is a little podcast called Inside of You. Michael Rosenbaum of Smallville fame has started something incredible here. Interviewing a variety of people, from actors to directors to the owner of the Lakers and even a sports psychologist, Rosenbaum utilizes his gift of kindheartedness and humor to help these people open up about their past traumas, their insecurities and setbacks, and what they find meaningful in their lives.
This isn't a standard interview show, however. Rosenbaum doesn't just ask questions and act interested enough to get some juicy info. You can tell from his voice and speech that he truly does care. He loves this podcast as much as he loves people. He has a genuine conversation with his guests, even allowing himself to open up and reveal his own past. That's what I absolutely love about Inside of You. It's not an empty shell of an interview but rather an authentic, real discussion that Rosenbaum often refers to as "therapy", not only for himself or his guests but the audience too.
If you're anything like me, you might have reservations about therapy. Maybe it didn't work in the past. maybe you just don't feel comfortable talking about your personal life with a stranger. Maybe you're just too busy. No matter what the reason may be, I urge you to try out this gem of a podcast. It's helped me come to terms with incidents in my own life, it's given me something to look forward to, and it's helped me realize I'm not alone. Inside of You has helped me find hope again and it's helped me smile again. It could help you too. Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, Stephen Amell, Zachary Levi, Michael Rooker, Dave Bautista, Dominic Monaghan, and Corey Feldman are just a few of the interviews that's helped change my outlook on life and aided me in rediscovering parts of myself that I thought were long dead.
In conclusion, there's always a million reasons not to do something but I urge you to give this podcast a listen. You can find it on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or Castbox or on a variety of other podcast platforms. Whether you're on a long drive or just doing busy work around the house, give Inside of You a chance. I give this podcast a 4 out of 4.
